We have our interview coming up next week. We just completed the medical! I have some questions just because I want to make sure we have all things covered. :)

#1 - Our interview appointment is at 6:35. I believe this is am but it does not say. What time should we get there?

#2 - If I go with her to the Embassy do we both have to wait in the line or can we go to the American side? Can I bring my phone but check it in inside the embassy?

#3 - If I do not go into the embassy can my wife pay with cash for the visa fee?

CFO Questions

#1 - Is this just a formality or can they deny os the visa there if they want too?

#2 - my wife's session is session 2. What time does she have to be there?

Lastly, generally how long will it take to actually get the visa once we pass the interview?

Our plan was to stay in Manila for a ferw days as we have the interview set up and then cfo 2 days later. It would be awesome to have the Visa in hand for the cfo to stamp so we can get it done in one day/ Is there any way to pick up the visa at the embassy rather than a 2go?

Thanks all!

1- Embassy personnel will facilitate entry of immigrant visa applicants 15 minutes prior to their respective interview time slot. All applicants who arrive earlier than 15 minutes before their interview time will be asked to wait outside the Embassy premises.

2- Your wife has to enter through the required entrance for the visa processing. Only you can use the U.S. citizen entrance.

3- Fee Payment Information

The fees for all applications and petitions submitted to this office must be paid to the U.S. Embassy cashier with either a credit card (Visa, MasterCard American Express or Diner’s Club); cash with U.S. dollars or Philippine pesos; U.S. Postal Money Order in the exact amount; or traveler's check (at least 60 percent must be paid in traveler's checks to receive change in U.S. dollars or Philippine pesos).

CFO

1- CFO doesn't issue a visa. They require attending a seminar w/interview, a certificate is issued upon completion. Once you have your U.S. visa in your passport you will need a sticker in your passport, you present the CFO certificate to get this. And CFO can be difficult, not just a formality. Your wife should be confident and self-assured, looking the person in the eyes during the interview process. Meek and timid get "special attention".

2- It's the Philippines ;) be there an hour early http://www.cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2344:schedule-of-cfos-guidance-and-counseling-program-with-images&catid=110:frequently-asked-questions&Itemid=858

No one can say for sure when it will be ready. We have seen a couple of days to a couple of months and beyond. If you stay in Manila then the quickest way is at 2go office in MOA but still can't predict the time frame.

Thanks,

Regarding the CFO. I know they do not give the visa but do they determine or have to approve?

All our CFO appointment says is session 2. What time is that?

CFO does have the power to withhold their certificate.

I gave you the link to session times in my earlier post, go back and give it a click for times
