Not if we remain focused. This was a horrible act by a despicable human being in a position of trust. It is also a current event. The only reason the topic would be locked or taken down is if people decide to take in in another direction than that.

Can't imagine what the parents must be going through right now though. I don't condone violence, but if someone harmed one of my kids, the one thing I am sure of is they better hope I'm not the first one to find them.

Really, you can't? So I guess all these times people have committed mass shootings and people after the event were like "Yeah he was nuts and said he might do something like this but I didn't take him seriously" should be dismissed. There are actual examples of people reporting to authorities crazy stuff somebody said and they are arrested very shortly before they go on what was sure to be a rampage.

Believe it or not people's associations, statements, beliefs, actions, etc. can be used to help predict their future state.

Watching some news on Russian satellite today and in this case I don't know that there were any warning signs. The nanny had been working for them for more than a year prior to this without incident. If I had to weigh this between an elaborate terrorist plot or someone going off the deep end, I'd have to say the latter.

I have the same question about beheading, burning alive, rape, throwing gays from tall buildings, mutilating little girls, stoning rape victims, mass killings by blowing themselves up, torturing household help, enslaving poor people........... Is there an all-encompassing slogan that accompanies the whole package?

That sucks for her, but the people do this to her are, in fact, real muslims. Even if she disagrees with them.
