Interesting

It has taken a lot of effort to dig out that information. As I see it, his natural born status was renounced. But really this would take a federal court rule on it. There could be things I'm not aware of that could make the renunciation his parents would have made on his behalf as a child, not relevant under USA law. I'd like to actually see it happen, just so the entire who is a natural born citizen gets clarified for the American people. You really couldn't find a more complicated case to unravel.

Back then it was likely birth certificate.. Heck I remember crossing the border on word of mouth alone as a child

By car that is true. But not by plane, and his parents flew him to the USA when they returned from Canada in 1974 with him.

Unsure about USA regulations but I remember as a child being listed under my parents passport when we'd travel.

Now you're given some new minutia I'll have to research  Its easy to find current regulations, but finding them from 40 years ago can become tough.

I flew from Canada to USA simply with a driver's license in 2000. Likely in 1974 all he needed was his parents saying, our kid.

Now when was the CRBA introduced?

In the early 90s I drove across the border both ways with my grandparents without issue. They certainly didnt have my birth certificate.

I saw references to the law going back to at least 1948. Which was well before Cruz's birth. Also he renounced his Canadian citizenship a couple of years ago. If he renounced it, that means he had it. And he could have only gotten it at birth when dual citizenship was not allowed in Canada. Its likely one of the most twisted cases you can get on the question of is he a natural born US citizen.

Banning Muslims from entering the US can never happen. Let me make it easier for you, how it will happen? How can they know who's Muslim and who's not? By referring to their names? Or how they dress or look? Any passport does not say the religion or faith of it's holder. Also, they will not deport any Muslims from the US, whether they are GC holders or citizens just because they are Muslims. Trump doesn't know what hes talking about. Chill.

Oh how wrong you were
