Trump have no political experience and he wants to be the president of the USA. If you apply for a manager or supervisor position in a fast food chain they require you to have couple of years experience in management. Being a rich business man doesn't mean you are a good president. At least Hillary or Bernie doesn't promote hate speech.

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

An actor can become a US president, why can't Trump?

Plus there are cabinet members and advisers to US president.

Where to start, just the first one that came to mind.

But neither is Cruz technically

He is naturally born to an American parent.

There is this tricky thing called the 1st Amendment. You should be willing to risk your life to protect it.

Which incidentally works for and against Trump. ;)

But neither is Cruz technically

The majority believe what the constitution meant by a natural born citizen is you are the offspring of a citizen and/or born on USA soil. This is contrary to what birthers think about the constitution. There is some question as to if Cruz ever actually claimed his US citizenship or gave it up in favor of Canadian citizenship, which did not allow dual citizenship when he was born. He made claims as to being a Canadian citizen at a time when to be so, meant he could not also be an American citizen. Its a rather convoluted mess that would really need a court to rule on if he's actually a natural born citizen.

Here's what is known.

Cruz was born in 1970 in Canada

He entered the USA by air in 1974 without his parents ever filing a CRBA. <this is what affirms citizenship on an American born abroad.

He could not legally have entered the USA without either a passport from Canada or the USA. That would have defined his citizenship then. But he didn't have a USA passport in 1974.

In 1984 his parents filed the CRBA and got him a USA passport.

He renounced his Canadian citizenship on May 14th, 2014.

Here's the real point of contention, Canada did not allow dual citizenship in 1974 when Cruz entered the country. It wasn't until 1977 that Canada allowed dual citizenship. To have a Canadian passport in 1974, which he would have needed to fly into the country, his parents would have been required to renounce his claim to American citizenship. He didn't effectively gain USA citizenship until 1984 when his parents then filed a CRBA when he was 14 years old. Which actually probably should have been a naturalization and not a CRBA, as the American citizenship claim would have already have been renounced, essentially making him ineligible to gain US citizenship through a CRBA.

Given Cruz's convoluted citizenship history, he is actually wide open to a suit challenging his natural born status.
