Hey all,

after some hiccups with the fee payments we´ve finally got everything done and sent off. Very relieved but then again also very nervous about getting a checklist...*fingers crossed*

Since i´ve read different things about this:

Does the NVC actually send a letter or email stating that they have recieved our IV & AOS package or not? It got delivered via USPS on saturday (tracking info) and i´m just wondering if i should just wait for them to confirm it or call at some point to ask and possibly get a scan date?

Hope the process is going smoothly and quickly for everyone!

Hi Rosegrove,

Glad that you were able to get the documents sent off. I received an email (no physical letter in the mail) about 4 days after NVC received our documents (they received it on Friday and email received on Tuesday). I think email is the norm. But you can certainly call and confirm as others have done that as well :)

Thank you!

Yeah, first fee payment for AOS didn't go thru. Bank blamed it on the NVC and vice versa. But in the end it worked, even tho we lost a little bit of time.

I guess I'll call thursday evening to check back with them if I haven't gotten an email by then.

Again, thank you ☺

just have one for backup. You should be fine with what you have for NVC. Remember NVC does not approve anythng they just make sure everything is in order and correct.

Our documents were sent Feb 12th (Friday) and rec'd on Feb 15th.

I have just logged in, and Affidavit of Support Fee shows N/A, after previously showing PAID. I'm cautiously optimistic, but it seems this means our case has moved to complete?? :)

Most likely so but only way to know for sure is to call NVC. Congrats in advance.

Thanks. Is 603-334-0700 the number to call? What exactly are the correct questions to ask? We've done all this thru a lawyer so I haven't spoken to anyone official yet. Sorry if the questions are stupid!

That is the correct number. Go through the options on the automated phone system first (I think first you choose 1 for english and then 7 to talk to a person, but the options may have changed). They will ask for the NVC case number, beneficiay's DOB and the names of the beneficiary and petitioner. Afterwards just ask them what is the status of your case, if you a case complete and when. That's it.

If you have a case complete, you should get an email from the NVC in about one week of the case complete date.

Yes, you should wait. Check my signature. I sent my docs on 1/26 evening and then got emails on 1/29 saying they received my documents on 1/27. Also, you will get a new NVC case number starting from 'GZO' since you have chosen EP.

yea I was thinking to do that my wife should get them in a few days and yea I didn't see that too but Macedonian authorities should tell that to people since in the application u state that u need it for USA visa but I guess u know nothing works good in Macedonia as always ... For such stupid thing our cases just get delayed

As you know, nobody goes the extra mile in MKE unless you are holding 100 euros in your hand. Decent thing would be to tell people but no, they dont bother.
