should i get a new ssn card?? coz i have type 2 social security card but i think if i become permanent resident i need type 1 ssn card ,,right???

type 1 ssn card---->Shows your name and Social Security number and lets you work without restriction.

No you put NO. And once you get settled in a few days after POE you take your passport with temp green card stamp (551) and your SS card to SS office so they can issue you a new one (same number) without the restrictions.

At least you can work soon as you land and can start filling out applications and everything since you have a number. Cool.

But there is an equal chance i might get flagged because the data doesn't match what was previously given to Usics. This is not my current address. This is my previous address. Error is that apt no written as 365 where as the right ine is 360

Why would you be flagged if you corrected an error? It's when you make and error and do not correct is when things go ad. The DS-260 you can put correct information. Especially if you are the beneficiary it must be correct fr interview. It's only an apt #. S just put correct information o DS-260.

Hi everyone

on 9 March 2015, we received the approval notice from uscis my PD is 4November 2015.

My husband told me that NVC call him yesterday they ask him for his income and they told him that he has to get an insurance for me ??? ?

The problem is when we verify the W2 his gross pay is about 19.896 per year !!!!!!!

And the minimum requirement is 20.025 in the property ...!!!

So that means my husband can't sponsor me alone , he start working another job but just in his free time can he put this also to complete his income in the paper or not ???:?? Please I need help

Scan date was Feb 2. Undortunetly I was not aware of 2 certificates from court, only sent them 1. Took 42 days, on 43rd day they told me I need to resubmit 2 copies. Getting ready to send those next week. Back to drawing board again (30-45 days) :\

By researching on Google, I've seen that fiancées must have insurance coverage. The petitioner should have some kind of insurance that would cover his/her spouse once married. Also, I think if the petitioner is not able to fully sponsor his/her fiancé, this applies: **Petitioners in fiancé(e) (K1) nonimmigrant visa cases are generally expected to provide the adequacy of their own financial resources to ensure that an alien, after admission into the United States, will not become primarily dependent on the US Government for subsistence. While our immigration law does not disallow joint sponsorships for K nonimmigrant visa applicants, the mere submission of an I-134 Affidavit of Support from joint sponsors is not sufficient to establish that the alien is not likely to become a public charge. Accordingly, we make a thorough evaluation of other factors, such as the sponsor's motives in submitting the Form I-134, the sponsor's relationship to the applicant or petitioner, the length of time the sponsor and applicant have known each other, etc. An I-134 Affidavit of Support submitted by a casual friend or distant relative who has little or no personal knowledge of the applicant has limited value. Unlike the I-864 filed by joint sponsors in immigrant visa cases, the I-134 is not legally binding and imposes no legal obligation on the joint sponsor to make good on his or her promises. Please be assured that we look at the totality of circumstances in assessing the credibility of joint sponsorships.

oh I'm from Macedonia too and I did same mistake since I didn't knew they give 2 separate documents my scan date is 03.03 so I'll be expecting a checklist, how did u find out that u got checklist did u called or they emailed u ?
