Yaayy we received the welcome letter from NVC. Everything got do much clearer now. ? But what is this military records???

Why nvc added fnu as my spouse's first name since yesterday (after cc). It was fine before

Did you find out the answer to this? I just signed in to CEAC and noticed the same for my husband. Until yesterday, it was showing "Last name, First name" now it shows "First name middle name last name, FNU".

I'm going to call NVC and check what's going on but curious if you figured it out.

checklist! for items that were already in the original packet! India PCC which was in there! Nigeria PCC, which according to the DOS website "previous residence if lived there for at least 1 year" and Liberia PCC. She wants me to send a letter stating that my husband only lived in Nigeria for max 6 months (which it clearly is stated in the documents we already sent them!) she wants me to also send a letter stating Liberia PCC is unobtainable for non resident/national as per the DOS Reciprocity Schedule. WHICH I ALREADY INCLUDED in the original packages! EVERYTHING SHE ASKED ME TO SEND, I'VE ALREADY SENT IN AND THIS WILL START THE WAIT ALL OVER AGAIN! I even put tabs at the bottom labeling EVERYTHING!

This is unorthodox, but if I was you, I will call and request to talk to a supervisor and explain to him/her what you told us. Basically is a supervisor review.

Some of these contract employees do not have enough training and make mistakes.

Emphasize that everything the checklist requires is already there.

I have seen various frivolous Checklists, like requesting W2 for transcripts.

Give them a call and try my suggestion.

I called them to ask why there is a FNU listed as my husband's first name. they said it's system generated and not to worry about it cause they do see his first name is Joe. Then I asked for an update to my case since I was already on the phone with them and today is day 30 since they received my documents.

Some of these contract employees do not have enough training and make mistakes.

I explained to them that my husband doesn't have a birth certificate. it was never registered so I had submitted an affidavit stating the birth was never registered, plus a sworn birth affidavit from his mom plus his baptism certificate. everything the DOS says to include if the BC is not available!!!

What the XXXX did they do with my package!!!

The supervisor review taken 30 to 45 is just a "canned statement", most of these reviews are under 10 days.

They seem to be fat tracking those for Mexico (well not all) but this is the second person for Mexico with such a fast CC. The other person last week was 11 days.

You had everything perfect....this is wrong! NVC sometimes overlooks or misplaces documents...sad! Hang in there my friend it will be ok.
