Finally, I am all set to(I think) send out my AoS and IV packages to NVC.

I have One big manila envelop with NVC address and 2 envelops inside it written as AoS and IV.

My AoS package contains :

 Affidavit of Support bar-coded cover sheet

 Form I-864EZ (signed and dated)

 Copy of 2015 Extension of time to file Tax: Form 4868

 Copy of Approval letter from IRS regarding 2015 Extension of time to file tax

 Copy of 2015 W2

 Orginal 2014 Tax Return Transcript from IRS

 Orginal 2013 Tax Return Transcript from IRS

 Orginal 2012 Tax Return Transcript from IRS

 Orginal Letter of Employment

 Pay stubs from the most recent six months (October 2015 – March 2016)

 Copy of Proof of Citizenship: Naturalization Certificate

 Copy of Name Change Certificate

My IV Package contains:

 IV Bar-coded cover sheet

 Two (2) passport-size photographs of beneficiary (Case number, beneficiary’s full name, and

date of birth are written on back of both)

 Copy of the Birth Certificate of Beneficiary.

 Copy of Marriage Certificate issued from Government office

 Copy of the Marriage Certificate issued from the Church where Marriage is held

 Copy of the Biographic data page of passport

 Copy of Police Clearance Certificate from Indian Regional Passport Office.

 Copy of Police Clearance Certificate from District Commissioner of Police, India.

 Copy of Police Clearance Certificate from Australia

Thank you so much to this forum, Moderator dwheels and linjoe whose case I have been refering for as I found it similar to mine. Thanks a ton guys for taking time and answering each of my questions. All the posts in this forum helped me A LOT to understand the process better. I still have few more questions :P

Please review my package information above and let me know if anything more is required.

There are few fields which I had to leave blank in form i-864EZ as few of them dont let me type when I choose Yes. Shall i manually write those fields to N/A (whichever I cant type in the system)?

So, about this barcoded sheet which is inside my envelop, they scan the barcode after opening the envelop the day they receive it. ? I was assuming, we need to also print and paste the barcode outside the main envelop together with the address for them to scan. Am I wrong?

All of you, Thanks a lot again.

scan date 18 feb ,

i know its written as required but in explanation it says ," bring pics to interview"

As far as I know, photos are a vital part of your visa application and must be submitted to NVC. But I might be wrong. I'm sure other members will be able to provide the right info.

Yes 2 photos of the beneficiary must be submitted with the NVC application

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/family/immediate-relative.html#8

The link you provided presents general information about what is needed for the IR1/CR1, not anywhere says these items are to be sent to NVC.

The following link lists what is supposed to be sent to NVC, and the 2 pictures are NOT TO BE SENT to NVC, it clearly states they are to be brought to the interview.

I hope this settles it.

hi everyone I've few questions.

my wife's father will be the joint sponsor and I understand that we need documents from him such as his w2's, pay stubs, tax return and employment letter, but my question is do we send copies to the NVC or originals of these documents?,if copies. for my visa interview, do I need to take copies or originals?

I've to provide a police certificate and a military record , should these documents be originals or copies?

currently when we call the NVC they tell us that they have received the case but it's not in the system and we have to wait at least 42 days, do we call everyday for a case number? , can we leave our emails with them so they can contact us regarding any updates to our case?

Thanks.

The pay stubs shows your status as single because that is the status you chose on your W-4 before you started working. You cannot change the paystubs afterwards. Taxes are deducted from your pay based on the exemptions you claim and if you paid more or less than you should have, you will either get a refund or have to pay more when you file your tax returns. If you want to, you can explain in a cover letter sent along with your AOS package that the pay stubs show you as single because according to the W-4 instructions, you chose your status as single as your spouse is a non resident alien.

You should really ask your tax preparer what, if any, documentation they need for you to file as married filing separately. I really don't think you should need any but it couldn't hurt to take your marriage certificate along with you.

Thank you pbz. I appreciate the responses once again. I will be checking with my tax preparer today to find out what, if any, documentation I should have with me. Thank you for suggesting that I write up a little note to NVC as to why I have single on my pay stubs.

Trying to pay the IV Fee. It says "PAY NOW" in red, and when I click on it, it doesn't give me a check box, and the sum is $0.00. Anyone ever had this issue before? Currently, my AOS fee is being processed as I paid it yesterday. I'm trying to pay the IV fee to no avail. I redid the DS261 and resubmitted it, choosing an agent for the case.
