Yes it clearly does state that I don't know why people think USCIS doesn't ask for evidence of a bonafide regardless of time.

LinJoe it wasn't that your lawyer is right you just got very blessed and got a lazy adjudicator. I don; mean to ran on your parade.

Just read this thread and see how someone sent all kinds of evidence and still got an RFE. All you showed was you got married.

Just count your blessings and pray you get a CO that wants to look at the evidence you bring to the interview.

I second Liny's experience. We only sent our marriage certificate as well and our petition was approved without any additional documentation and no RFE, My client was in Court yesterday for a similar issue (when the couple sent in their paperwork, they overdid it and became subject to visa fraud). Sometimes, it's best to stick to the basics. If need be, an honest couple like Liny and her spouse, should be ready to provide proof to the CO.

I haven't fill Ds260 yet.

Just finished ds261. Haven't pay any fee yet

Sometimes I have sen the AOS fee appearing after the DS-261. Some it appears same time. It's a timing thing. Just keep checking.

You also asked about the welcome letter. all and ask them did they email it or dd they snail mail it.

Mine was snail mail, I am out the country so of course didn't get to see it. But it's not needed.

You follow this forum much closer than I. Have you read any posts about not receiving email notifications with EP filings? Our initial scan date was Feb 19 but I only scanned the front of my BC. We called almost 2 weeks ago and were told we had to send both sides to it. Until this day, no sign of email with the checklist. And only today did we receive a confirmation stating that our file is being reviewed following the second round of docs (11 days later). I hate to have to call to get info.

Scan date Feb 8th, We got the 3N/A @ last.

I am glad we pushed with several calls emphasising the authenticity of my BC. Last Friday we got Check-listed for my BC. After speaking to NVC on phone 3 times, one of the agent said it was a mistake and we were placed on Admin Review. We equally sent the same BC again on Friday which got delivered yesterday

Congratulations!! Glad that it eventually worked out. Persistence is often the key ;)

I want to clarify two questions about DS-261.

i) Do you need to appoint an agaent/attorney to receive your visa applicaton?

If my husband (petitioner) is filling out on behalf of me, then should I choose him as the one and give his details

ii) Did anyone assist you in filling out the the application?

Should I say No or Yes and give details about my husband(petioner), though he will be filling out.

Please help me out.
