Hey guys!

I mailed my AOS + IV packets together in one big Manila envelop, I just called NVC to inquire if they have received it and they said they have one scanned item. Is that normal? Because it's one big envelop with the other two inside it counts as one? They received it on March 7th and item scanned on March 8th. Is that how it works? Thanks

Do I have to still call them to review it or just go ahead and pay fee.

The IV Fee won't unlock or "get invoiced" until the DS-261 has been reviewed. Call them and have them reveiw it over the phone. If you don't, you're wasting weeks of waiting for them to get around to it. Once they review it, the IV Fee will be invoiced within 24 hours.

Thank you so much. I just called and a very nice agent reviewed it and said I will get fit back within 7days. I have also paid my AOS fee today. I will have my husband go get his police clearance certificate right away.

My last scan date was Feb 16. I'm hoping for CC this or next week as well =)

For AOS my husband is filling out the I-864 form. He is working so he has evidence of income. He also has 2013,2014 W2 because he did have work on those years. But he wasn't in the US for 2015 tax year ( he was in Hong Kong with me and didn't work) and didn't fill tax. Base on NVC , he needs to writ Sth to explain why he didn't fill tax.

Is there any guidelines or reference for him ?

From NVC web:

If you did not file taxes: If you did not file Federal Income Tax Returns for the most recent tax year, write and sign a statement indicating why you did not file taxes.
