When I submitted my AOS & IV packages, I included a copy of my 2015 tax returns + W2. I received my 2015 Tax Transcript a couple of days ago....do you think I need to send a copy of that to my husband to take with to the interview? Just curious if the tax transcript will still be asked for at the interview.

Good news: The IV Bill got invoiced. Bad news: The status of the AOS fee changed from "in process" to "not paid". ? Anyone else had that problem?

I have good news guys. I called NVC today around 4pm they have issued us our invoice and case number. The lady said to wait for the mail before we start with the process. but I know we can start now without the mail right? what's the next step?

I called the NVC today and the guy I spoke to said this call wouldn't be considered a point of contact, because the last point of contact was on the 3rd and somebody else was already working on my case. What do you guys think that means? I've never heard about point of contact

Maybe another tier 1 employee was scanning your docs into the system OR reviewing your case to ensure you are documentarily qualified for interview scheduling at your country's embassy.

A copy of your 2015 tax transcript will be fine. If his interview is after April 16th, 2016 then send a copy for him to include in his interview packet which he has to take to the interview.

scan date Is when nvc gets your aos and iv packets you mail together. You won't get a case complete Untill you send them and wait 30 to.45 days

Thanks Farrahldir. Our packets were delivered to the NVC on the 9th of march so I guess that's our scan date. Now for the agonizing wait to case complete

Pls house, i have a quick question. Does nvc have to request for ds260 form before it is submitted? The agent my wife hired said nvc hasnt requested for it, and that she normally asks her clients to fill out ds260 before hand. Please, how genuine is this explanation?

Got check-listed but we assume full responsibility. All I can suggest is to read and re-read all the material on Dwheels' post and especially NVC's website. Do not rush things!!

Luckily, we submitted our packages electronically, resent the correct document and it's been already received and in process again. I'm hoping it will take less than 2 weeks for CC. Meh what a d*mb mistake and useless delay

I just called NVC and told that my case was approved before 4 days(i.e feb 4). Scan date is feb 3. But when i check on nvc websites it has only 2 n/a. Extremely happy.

I have two questions.

When I will be having a joint sponsor, then if my husband get a job will I be submitting his employment letter to the NVC or will take it to the interview. If he also meets the criteria will he need to fill the I 864 form as 0 income because we will have a joint sponsor.

When NVC counts the money about the household income do they exclude the tax and count or its the total income including the tax.

Your husband is the sponsor so he has to fill out a I-864 and submit his most recent taxe forms and W2 or his tax Transcripts that will be 2015.Your joint sponsor has their I-864 package and your husband also has his own. And he should be including his employment letter and most recent paystub.
2. When NVC counts the money about the household income do they exclude the tax and count or its the total income including the tax. You enter the amount form your taxes. NVC nor the embassy subtracts anything. It's your adjusted Gross income from your IRS Tax forms.

I have one more question. We are not filing the tax return for this year for now. We are getting a tax extension. Will that be okay? SO we will be including tax returns of the year 2012, 13, 14, and for 15 - we will be including the tax extension letter. For some reason, I am feeling this could be a RFE item.

Make sure you have extension and 2015 W2 for interview than. You might have to send to NVC depending on when you send off your AOS and IV packages. If before April 15th.
