Yup, we got a checklist for tiny gov't prints behind my BC. Don't chance it no matter a seal or other. Send both sides regardless.

I have two questions.

When I will be having a joint sponsor, then if my husband get a job will I be submitting his employment letter to the NVC or will take it to the interview. If he also meets the criteria will he need to fill the I 864 form as 0 income because we will have a joint sponsor.

When NVC counts the money about the household income do they exclude the tax and count or its the total income including the tax.

My case was received by NVC on March 2nd . We called yestetday to check if we have the case number yet. They said it takes 35-40 days to assign a case number. Is this a standard reply? Shall I keep calling back every other day untill I have the case number or wait?

After you pay the AOS fee, there is a page that shows a link that says "Document Cover Sheet" it has the beneficiary's name on it, case number with bar code on it. you'll put that on top of the AOS package. Same for IV package. It allows NVC to know which package goes with what. It's also recommended that you put your case number at the top of each individual document in the package. In case they misplace a document, the case number at the top will tell them which case it goes with.

Ahhh, I finally get it! Thanks for your patience. My hubby paid the fee so I wasn't aware of this. All clear now :-)

I just called NVC and told that my case was approved before 4 days(i.e feb 4). Scan date is feb 3. But when i check on nvc websites it has only 2 n/a. Extremely happy.

Yea, that's a standard reply. Some recommend calling everyday, but I would call back today (Wednesday) and then again on Friday. Based on what I read, I believe it's normally anywhere between 1-2 weeks to assign the number... of course that can fluctuate depending on their workload.

Hi, this might sound like an amateur/ignorant question but what exactly is a scan date that has been referenced in many posts in this forum? Is the the date The IV and AOS packets reach the NVC? And ,how does one find out what their scan date is? We have sent the IV and AoS packets to the NVC yesterday and since my spouse, who is a little scatter- brained, has done all the NVC filing, I have to keep pushing him to get information critical to our case. Also, thanks to the tax season, we were unable send the documents earlier

I have one more question. We are not filing the tax return for this year for now. We are getting a tax extension. Will that be okay? SO we will be including tax returns of the year 2012, 13, 14, and for 15 - we will be including the tax extension letter. For some reason, I am feeling this could be a RFE item.

scan date Is when nvc gets your aos and iv packets you mail together. You won't get a case complete Untill you send them and wait 30 to.45 days

OH so excited. My husband just got the email from NVC and I now have NVC case number and Invoice ID number. According to the first 3 letter of case number, we can choose either email or mail processing.

So right now i am on step 1 choose an agent. so nervous
