Yup, me again with more questions...sorry to bother you guys so frequently

1. Got my case# friday and submitted the DS 261 right away. On here i´ve got told that i can have them review it with me over the phone. Can i do that at any time or do i have to wait for a certain period of time?

2. I see that some ppl send in their AOS & IV paperwork early on; as in before the IV bill is paid for example. So does that mean it doesn´t really matter when we send in the paperwork (or e-mail it since EP is an option for us too)?

Sorry if those are stupid questions but i just wanna get through NVC as quickly as possible and don´t mess anything up. Thanks in advance

Didn't see that anyone answered your question so here goes:

1) you can call at any time. I called them the very next day after I submitted it.

2.) The only thing that you need for both the AOS & IV Packages is the Document Cover Sheet (DCS). the only difference between the two is that the AOS DCS says "Attn CMR AOS" and IV just says "Attn CMR".

If you have Adobe you can save two copies of the AOS DCS just delete the AOS from one and there you go. You don't have to wait until you pay the IV to get it. At this point though you may have already submitted everything.

how your scan date went all the way to 19 feb?

my scan date is 18 feb just after 3 days of submitting all stuff

my scan date is not 19. It's 5th

maybe a checklist? I'm 2/3 scan date and nothing yet. Hopefully this week

What did you get checklisted for? Would I also be correct to assume your scan date was about 22-24th Feb? (2weeks ago?)

We forgot to scan the back of birth certificate! Scan Date: Feb 22.

Nobody knows... we on the 30 day mark today,...... NVC has been quiet!!!

A bit confused about the cover sheet thingy but I guess I'll tackle that later. My supporting docs are on the way to my hubby overseas and will hopefully delivered soon.

I've noticed that all with scan date : January xx, the CC took 33 days, why those of Feb 45 days!!!

After you pay the AOS fee, there is a page that shows a link that says "Document Cover Sheet" it has the beneficiary's name on it, case number with bar code on it. you'll put that on top of the AOS package. Same for IV package. It allows NVC to know which package goes with what. It's also recommended that you put your case number at the top of each individual document in the package. In case they misplace a document, the case number at the top will tell them which case it goes with.

If the birth certificate has a seal. The back side needs to be copied as well? Or if there is additional info? Is that why u got check listed

I just called NVC and told that my case was approved before 4 days(i.e feb 4). Scan date is feb 3. But when i check on nvc websites it has only 2 n/a. Extremely happy.
