Good Morning guy's.

I just called NVC and they said our case was received yesterday but no case number yet. Is it true we have to wait 4 weeks before we get our case number?

Case was approved 2/12/16

Thanks

Just call every day or every other day until they have the case number. It took me about a week from them receiving it to get the case number.

I mean exactly that. People who have been reporting back that filed EP do not see the 3 NA's Yes they call if they want to know. EP's are getting case complete within 7 to 14 days so its pretty fast.

Just want to add to this that although we filed electronically, our case took 27-29 days to get to case complete from the scan dates. I have seen cases filed electronically in Canada that had quick turnaround of 7-14 days, but I do not know if EP for other countries are just as fast.

Hey guys,

first off - congrats to all of you who got a CC - or any other good news :-)

I have a question about EP since we´re currently trying to decide if we do that or mail processing. (Still waiting for a case# so...)

When you go for EP how do you actually send the files? Do you just attach them one by one or do you put them together in packages as well?

As for example make a pdf with Financial Docs, a pdf with supporting docs etc. Or doesn´t it matter at all?

Hope my question is clear, ahem...

PS: Calling NVC tomorrow to ask for case # and IIN... It´s been 9 days only but who knows :-D

Rosegrove,

For EP, you attach the files to the email, one PDF file per separate document and total size of the email with ALL documents MUST be below 5MB.

Refer to this post (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/587917-email-processing-help/?p=8037086) I made describing the details of electronic processing.

Also, this NVC webpage (https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/submit/documents-scanning-faqs.html) has some info on electronic submission as well.

Hope this helps.

Most people go the "old fashined" route.

EP is only really available for cases going to 10-12 embassy/consulsates worldwide. This NVC webpage lists where people MUST or CAN use EP (https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html). EP is supposed to be faster but it really depends on the country I think. I hope others will chime in on this too.

Hi Propsja so you got it without having to get a letter from NVC? and you only needed to bring your passport? Did you have to tell them it was for immigration purposes... Just want to have it super clear. Thanks so much
