Hi everyone!

I just completed the DS 260. On the confirmation page it gave me a link for Consulate requirement and it says that the petitioner need to fill out a sworn I-134 Affidavit of support for my husband to bring to the interview. Is this part of the requirement for Lagos?

Hope you didn't submit the DS-260 under the Non-immigrant part. I-134 doesn't pertain to you. You have sent in your AOS and IV package right?

Thanks for these information , but my husband family live outside , so unfortunately he cannot have a join sponsor, but the thing is on his current annual income 2016 (estimated) meets the requirements, and if we put also the other job I think it's okay , so what do you think ??? With all the paper work and all the staff .....

Anyone can be a joint sponsor. You don;t even have to know the,. They just need to meet the guidelines. Like i said before the 2nd job is so soon. You should have a joint sponsor just in cases you need one so there's no delay at interview.

You don't need to send 2 passport sized photos to NVC...the photos must be taken to the interview.

Feb 16th and hoping to see something this week. Even though I am only at 35th day but seeing everyone who is before me and after me getting theirs case complete so I would like to see my case complete too.

I wasn't aware of the insurance requirement for the K-1 category as well, but @Amadia and @Frankjavir seem to found info on this. However, there is no insurance requirement under the F-2A category, at least none that I am aware of. My case is under the F-2A category as well and we have a CC from the NVC without any such requirement ever being brought up.

May be you should double check by calling the NVC about this. Also let us know on here how it goes. Good luck.

I know alot of K1's and not one of them were made to get insurance. How can you get insurance on soon not even on the US or marred to (I know some married folk that. But ummm they were married). Don;t know what ya'll read or where but it is not a requirement for anyone.

Well elderly people on visitor visa may have to get medical insurance to visit.

It's not working. I'm at work right now and all I can think about is, "are they reviewing my case right now? will they complete it this week?"

I just called NVC to confirm they received my documents on Friday. the lady said she doesn't see anything new being linked to my file, but that doesn't mean they don't' have it...just that it hasn't been scanned in yet. Then I asked if she could see if anyone was working on my file. she said I'm supposed to be sending in my documents. I told her the supervisor said she was going to have them review my file again and as backup I sent in the documents again. THEN she saw the note from the supervisor. she said all she can see is that the Supervisor did send it back to the Document Review department but can't see if anyone is actively working on it. So much for supervisor review.

Guys! I just checked visa status on ceac.state.gov and it says at NVC. Does it mean our documents has been scan? I mailed it on 3/16/16 express mail.

Your status has said AT NVC since it arrived from USCIS. It will continue to say AT NVC until you are scheduled an interview and weeks later your casefile sent to the embassy.

Check the 1st post it has the many different status you may see during the cycle of your petition from NVC through the embassy process.

Hi,

I'm confused....if you're a CR1/IR1 category, why would you get a link for an I134?

CR1/IR1 use i864 and i864a (only for joint sponsors). The petitioner fills this out and submits signed original to NVC with the affidavit of support package.

Yes you right , I'm sure that they don't need an insurance , I will call them by 9 april to get my invoice number and case number , and then ask them for the papers !! I will keep share every news with you guys .

What papers are you specking of? I would suggest in this wait time you read the NV Process wiki. Good information that will help you fly through.

Please don't wait around for NVC. Once you get case# and IIN the starting begins. You need no welcome letter to do nothing. You could be gathering all your documents now. Your Affidavit of support should be done.

Hi guys, how do people find out of their scan dates ? The NVC received my AOS/IV Package on the 9th of march.

Called the day after it arrived to NVC. And I also got the email same day. Received on 1/4, scan date same day (they flip flipped between 1/4 and 1/5)
