Hi,

Most of the world uses DD/MM/YYYY......the USA does it by MM/DD/YYYY. That can be a tad bit confusing at times so you need to be extra careful and say the actual month rather than saying the numeric value for the month. For example, if your birth date is 8th June, 1984 then you say to the NVC rep: June 8th, 1984 OR you can also say 6/8/84. Hope this was able to clear this up.

once NVC received my case from USCIS, I never give NVC informations about me. And I checked the letter from USCIS. They have my birth date right. Must be Someone worked there put my birth date wrong.

I called them, they said send a proof by email and wait 30days. I did sent the email with proof. But I am wonder they didn't change the birth date before they received my AOS and IV package. What's gonna happen?

checklist! :crying: for items that were already in the original packet! India PCC which was in there! Nigeria PCC, which according to the DOS website "previous residence if lived there for at least 1 year" and Liberia PCC. She wants me to send a letter stating that my husband only lived in Nigeria for max 6 months (which it clearly is stated in the documents we already sent them!) she wants me to also send a letter stating Liberia PCC is unobtainable for non resident/national as per the DOS Reciprocity Schedule. WHICH I ALREADY INCLUDED in the original packages! EVERYTHING SHE ASKED ME TO SEND, I'VE ALREADY SENT IN AND THIS WILL START THE WAIT ALL OVER AGAIN! I even put tabs at the bottom labeling EVERYTHING!

:cry::ranting::ranting: :ranting: :ranting:

I'm sorry you got a checklist Liny.....another set of waiting :clock:

That is so true, only in America.

Only in America a billion is 1000 millions. For most countries is one million millions or 1000000000000.

In America you park in the driveway and drive in the parkway.

Yup Frank....so very true! :rofl:

I called and asked for a supervisor. She said they shouldn't have check listed me for the Nigeria and Liberia PCC. She said she can't update my file based on our conversation but will have them review my case again for the India PCC and the BC. I explained to her again that if they are looking for something that says Birth Certificate they won't find it, but as per the DOS website in lieu of a BC we provided the sworn notarized birth affidavit from his mom, a notarized affidavit of birth not registered, and baptism certificate. I asked her if I should go ahead and submit the forms again just in case they come back and say they don't see it and her response was "it's up to you." She said she will get put in the request today for them to review my case again. I went ahead and FedEx everything over night as back up.

I can't believe that when I provide everything exactly like they asked I still get check listed. I'm praying I don't have to wait another 30 days!

Well Liny,

I got checklist for updated AoS docs and NVC received and scanned them on March 3rd.....I have called everyday since then and have been told that I must wait the 30-45 days for them to review it....####### if you ask me.

So agree with you. So they've confirmed that they haven't touched your case since emailing round 2 of docs? They actually reviewed our case less than 2 weeks after submitting the first time (EP). We got a checklist as well...our new scan date is March 4th.

hi guys

I am new here. My NVC scan date is March 9th. How long it might take for me to get a cc?

:) Welcome. It seems to be taking about 30 - 32 days from the scan date for case complete. That's of course if you don't get a checklist.

I would go to the Gambia portal look at who has interviews coming up and PM them how they did it.

Have you looked at the NV website at the reciprocity for Gambia about a Police Report?

Yes I did looked at NVC website to find out how to obtain the PCC but it only had the location. I Googled it and found a couple of phone numbers and two email addresses which I used to reach out but I have not gotten any response from them.

Thank you for your suggestion but I am kinder of new to this site and don't know how I find out who is who, meaning the country they are from. If you know any easy way to find this out I would definitely PM someone from the Gambia or are processing their visa application for The Gambia.

Thank you once again, dwheels76.

That sucks! I thought NVC would be more organized. at least with USCIS if there was an RFE they wouldn't make you wait 5 months again! they would just pick up your case where they left off and finish. I thought NVC would do the same. Putting us at the end of the line and making us wait another 30 days is torture! I'm praying that Frank is right and that involving the Supervisor will get it done in 10 days or less. When I spoke with the Supervisor I emphasized (very politely) that they are requesting me to send documents they already have. we'll see what happens. I really hope it's not 30 days! :cry:

@_dwheels76 your scan date please....

Hi samjohn,

Most members on Visa Journey have a profile with a Timeline. If you look to the left of the conversation box that shows your name, date you joined VJ and the type of visa you are applying for, you will notice a link at the base of that saying "Timeline". Click on that and you will get all the relevant info on that person's visa case.

Not every1 is sitting and waiting around to reply to posts :)

Hi Irenita7,

I do not think that Debbie's request was rude....or beyond. She was simply asking for all posts to be in English....as all other posts on these forums are. To say she was rude and you wouldn't apologize is not very adult of you...although, nobody asked you to apologize but to simply remove your post that was scribed in Spanish.

The reason all posts must be in English is so that ALL VJers can be properly assisted with their queries although people from all ends of the Earth are on here and speak a variety of languages.

It's enough for all of us to be going through grief with USCIS and NVC without all this unnecessary attitude from other members. Besides, attitude will get you no help from others. :no:

Irene and Joanna, I knew this was coming when you ladies started posting each other in Spanish, that is impolite and rude to the rest of the non-Spanish speaking VJ memebers.

I have not read the extensive VJ's TOS but I am pretty sure some where in there it addresses your behavior which is a way of hijacking the thread.

I am Hispanic and I am glad VJ has accommodated Spanish speaking members not only by language but by regions, so do not even try the discrimination card here.

Every body here is welcome, we all are from different countries, cultures and backgrounds and English is the common language for us to interact and support each other.

Dwheels76 has not been rude to any one in VJ, she has supported hundreds of people here and she is the official moderator for the topic.

She was not rude to you ladies, she is just doing her volunteer job.

A VERY short greeting in any other language to emphasize sympathy it is OK, I have done it in Spanish, Danish and Russian but keeping the subject in english. You can PM each other in any language.
