Question please. The police report and birth certificate from my husband does it have to be original copies or can he scan it to me so I can print it? And send to NVC. Should I tell him to go get the police report done now? He said it can be ready in 3 days or so.

Don't know if you got an answer but NO originals keep those for the interview that's required. Just photocopies required at NVC.

Also your BC is it from NPC? I ask because that's the only one NVC and embassy what to see.

You can get Police report same day of he goes to Algabon in Lagos. But yes he should get now.

Thanks for the answer! Yes, we have my husband's father as a joint sponsor. We've got the following for domicile paperwork:

- TX drivers license

- Bank account statement

- Debit card statement

- Voter registration card

All with the same permanent US address (his parents', which is where we'll stay when my visa comes through). We might also add a cover letter for one of the jobs he'll be applying for, but as he's not written any yet I don't know. I hope what we have is enough, or are we missing something important?

You are missing a lease or rental agreement. You have to show you have a domicile to go to.

just created my own signature. AOS was paid on March 9. When can I pay IV ? I see some of you paying IV the next day after paying AOS.

The IV fee doesn't appear to be paid until your DS-261 is reviewed and then they unlock the IV fee within usually 24 hours.

The people you see paying AOS and IV same day didn't have DS-261 to submit so their AOS and IV is invoiced same day.

I gather you submitted DS-261 on March 9th also? You could try to call today for review might be too soon. I submitted DS-261 12/18 called every day sometimes twice. It finally was reviewed and unlocked 12/31. IV was unlocked and Paid on 1/4.

In the welcome letter on the AOS documents checklist required it says proof of relationship and IRS transcript. Do we have to send proof of relationship to NVC or take it to the interview? I don't have the IRS transcript I only have the W2 and pay stubs it that ok?

The Proof of relationship has nothing to do with our visa type. It's for other visa categories that have to show relationship proof.

But this is a good time if you want to add evidence that was either missed or some added evidence. Like me I traveled to Nigeria after we were approved at USCIS. S more pics. Boarding pass all that. We call it side-loading. For Lagos it's vital. Remember this is all the evidence that will go before you to the embassy for the CO to review. So what do you want them to see in advance.

Interview time they may not want to see anything and you may not be able to show some vital evidence.

No you don;t have to call it will evidently get unlocked. Calling doesn't spend it up (I don;t think) but some people here (surely not me) have had their DS-261 reviewed within a week. Mine took 13 days. From 12/18 unlocked 12/31.

It's ok 3 N/A means CC but How do u know if u got checklist ?

People either call but you will get an email as to what the issue is. Most people know before email because they start calling NVC when they see others with same scan date getting CC's or around that 30 day mark.

Hey guys!

I mailed my AOS + IV packets together in one big Manila envelop, I just called NVC to inquire if they have received it and they said they have one scanned item. Is that normal? Because it's one big envelop with the other two inside it counts as one? They received it on March 7th and item scanned on March 8th. Is that how it works? Thanks

No nothing shows online. The email should come in about 2 to 3 days.

Is there any one here who filed i864EZ here, not i 864?

If we satisfy the criterias to be able to send i864EZ, Is there anything else to be worried about

I did last year (2014). The form matters not it's you need to file. Don't be concerned with the form. You'll know if you can use it or not. Why are you so worried about a form just curious.

Most don;t us EZ if married cuz well many of us have deductions. I use Turbotax and it fills out whatever form according to how I take deductions. Last year (2014) I didn't itemize took the standard deduction so 1040ez was filled out. It's no big deal. I filled would matter not if I used 1040 1040A I filled that's whats important.

You are very welcomed. You can get PCC at any Police station in Nigeria. Just talks longer some a week or so.
