Okay called NVC just now to inquire about the error I made with my birth city, birth state and country. Lord I put I was born in Houston Texas, Nigeria. LOL And its Georgetown South Carolina, USA heh

Who's PD are you asking? You know PD only matters if you aren't a citizen. You are in a different category than most here and depending on your embassy # of slots are totally different.

So do citizen cases have priority over employment based cases?

I doubt either has priority over each other since employment base visas usually have a select time a person needs to be in US for job.

Visa categories are all about the slots a embassy has for the various visas types.

Hi everyone, I have some great news! I called NVC 30 minutes ago and they told me that they sent the interview letter on yesterday. Interview is scheduled for my husband for April 26 at 8 am. Let's hope these two months go as fast as February did. Good luck everyone

(Delay due to Ds261 showing incomplete had to resubmit) Scan date: December 21st, 2015 Case complete: January 29th, 2016 Medical examination: March 4th, 2016 Interview: March 17th, 2016 at US Embassy in Paris - Approved ! Hello my friends, Yes we have good news for you, my wife's visa was approved within 10 minutes.

I was, I am still surprised that the CO only asked for current passport, old passports, police certificate, 2 photos and medical sealed envelope.

CO asked her who I was, my place and date of birth, dates of divorce and where and when we met. That was it.

You know guys this is very emotional to me, to come to the room and see all these posts showing your support, to me that is also love.

It is amazing how a bunch of us strangers become almost like a family.

It very rewarding to help people, share good and bad news, shared support and knowledge.

It has been an amazing Journey, but I am not saying good bye, I will be back to the US in a week and back to my addiction to VJ.

I will enjoy my third honey moon for now.

I love you guys and thanks for everything!!!!

Okay today is SoerenHelmer's day. It's 9:32am where I am so I know he is in the embassy. We know Sweden is a cake walk but still sending love, hugs and support to you.

I just want to share more details I just remembered about my wife's IR1 approval.

1. CO asked for current passport, old passports and canceled the B2 visa with "CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE" stamp, 2 photos, Medical sealed package, and the Police Certificate. As I said before, I was very surprised the CO did not ask for the rest of originals.

2. He was very clear stating the visa was approved and told us to wait for an email with instructions to pick up the passport and the IV sealed package.

3. As soon as we walked away from the CO's window, I checked the CEAC status and it was AP and lasted for about 26 hours, it changed to ISSUED about 15 minutes ago. I think item 3 is important because I have seen a lot of people panicking for AP after the interview. It seems to me that AP it is part of the normal procedure at least for few hours or days.
