Yup FINALLY! They finally called me yesterday and said that my second interview will be on the 29th -Tuesday morning because the 25th and the 28th (Friday and next week Monday) will be a public holiday here.

Yes they are open. Maybe they may stat n some embassies that have their scheduled turned in. It's really not a all embassies start same time. It's when the embassies send in their calendars of slots and if its the scheduling window of time. Last month it was the 24th cuz their was 29 days in the month.

Usually, I say usually it's the last 3 to 4 days of the month we still have a week left in the month. I figure Monday they may start for some embassies.

Good luck to all of you for a speedy end to your visa journey ..I had my Interview on 11^th of this month Consulate...... interview went well.. they did not ask much beside the Original marriage license and police certificate and medical report and Birth Certificate they didn’t ask to see any of my supporting documents I had beside the honeymoon and the wedding photo . but he requested extra document (government release authorization ) and they ask me to drop it at the embassy when I get it (I drop it the next day ) and they did keep my passport . my question is been more than one week now when I check t ceac website never change sense the interview date it say Administrative Processing is this normal ??? do you think I should call embassy is almost two weeks sense the interview ?? how many days I should wit before I call them ??. We are so glad that this process went smoothly . thank you everyone and good luck

When documents are submitted it can take weeks sometimes. Depends what the document is. They need to verify and well the other end may be slow. Email if you wish nothing wrong with that.

when nvc sends an email saying , bring w2 updated to interview , dont send anything to nvc, we will schedule your interview .

while on call nvc said case is complete, but email says checklist, bring w2 to interview..

My wife's case was complete on 24th February, 2016 and even the priority date is current, however have not yet heard back on the interview dates yet it has almost been a month. Any Idea on how long will it take to get the interview dates?

Please can you create a timeline. Update your profile with Visa type and put up your country flag. No way to answer your question with absolutely no data you are providing.

Scheduling for some embassies should start next week and depending on the slots your embassy made available for your Visa type you may or may not get a May date. Just a wait and see kind of thing. Thanks for your cooperation.

Does anyone know if the slots for interviews in Lagos typically fill with people still in the que? From the spreadsheet, it looks like they are pretty accommodating... Just curious.

Of course every month there's always those that have to wait for the next months go round.

Figure like this I have about 6 to 10 folks waiting for Lagos at any given month. Multiple that by X and that's whats out there in the world ahead of you behind you. They schedule about 4 to 5 interviews for IR1/CR1 a day. Usually just 4 days out the week they schedule. Rarely a Friday they give IR1/CR1 but it happens when there is just an overflow.

My wife and son went for their interview on the 17th of March, 2016 at the Lagos embassy. It was approved, but the Consular officer ask my wife to provide my 2015 Tax returns. My wife told her she doesn't have it, but she has my 2015 W-2 and my pay stubs for the last 6 months. Guess what, he still insist that my wife should inform me to file for my 2015 Tax return. He gave my wife back her passport, and told her to drop off the 2015 Tax return, an update I-864 AOS and her passport to the visa collection center as soon as she gets all this 3 items available. My wife called me immediately she left the embassy. I quickly file for the 2015 Tax Returns, completed another 2 sets of AOS for my wife and son. I scanned it to her email address. She printed it out that same day, but took it to the visa section the next day 18th of March. My case was kept on Administrative Processing ever since she submitted those documents. On the 24th of March, it went from Administrative Processing to Issued. I also got an email from the embassy in Lagos that their visas are ready to be picked up on April 1st. I'm so happy. My sons birthday is April 10th and so, he will celebrate his 5th birthday in the U.S. Thanks to everyone of u for all the wealth of information's in this forum. I learnt alot. Were you by chance close to the poverty guidelines? Most times when people are very close to the lie for them or their sponsor they want to see current year done. I know people are fixated on April 15th filing. But really when March 1st hits many embassies start asking. And yes they can hold you up in AP until you file your taxes. I have even seen AP for those who had o amend because they filed single (rare but every CO is different)

For may of us who are just weeks or months from spouse getting here I strongly suggest just filing an extension print off your tax forms, update the Affidavit of Support and have your W2 attach just in case.

I can answer for him no. If DNA test is asked figure a 2 months (if they really move on it) to 4 month waiting time.
