I thought waiting for a cc was hard. Waiting for his interview is worse. Hahahha

Is it April 27th yet? ;)

I agree. I thought waiting on the C/C would be the most difficult part of the process but it isn't. Been almost 2 months and still no interview date. It seems in Jamaica it takes more time to get an interview date than it does to get the C/C. Lost count of the amount of times we have both cried because of having to wait and be apart from each other longer than we had thought.

Hi everyone,

We got a Checklist dated 3/17/16 - is that the same as a case complete letter? It just told us 2 items to bring with us in person to the interview in Montreal. Last time i checked that is where everyone in Canada goes for their interviews. Anyway, we are wondering when we are supposed to schedule the medical exam? Will they give us enough time between notification of the interview date and the actual interview date for this? My husband is in Calgary and it appears the nearest doctor is in Surrey, which means he has to fly to Vancouver for the medical. Sure wish they had a doc in Alberta.

So I put myself on the checklist with a case complete date of 3/17/16 but not sure if this checklist is really a case complete letter. Let me know so I can correct that if needed.

Thanks so much

It sounds like the Case Complete letter but it's always safer to call NVC and ask for sure. Once the interview is scheduled you can schedule your medical exam. From the dates I've seen on the spreadsheet for Canada, it's roughly a month from notification to interview, give or take a few days.

Okay Edissa...here's something to make you laugh. So last night I had a semi-melt down and my hubby says..."mi duh no wha to say to yuh but mi sure you need to drink some watta to replace all you lost." His way of cheering me up! So mi a'say to yuh...mi sure you need to drink some watta."

Cheer up my friend--time soon come!

So looking through some profiles and was doing research for cases in Jamaica like ours and not sure how right I am but my conclusion is that most cases handled in Jamaica in regards to IR1/CR1 got interview notification within 61 days on average since their 3rd N/A. I will officially hit 61 days as of midnight tonight. I really hope I hear from NVC regarding an interview date. All this waiting is making me depressed and giving me anxiety. I've tried to keep my mind occupied but all I can think about is being reunited with my soulmate. I'm really really hoping for a mid may interview if not sooner. C'mon NVC/Kingston Embassy please start sending out those emails.

I'm really rooting for you as well as other Jamaica filers to get your interview dates before the end of the week - I'm speaking it by faith! The wait in Nigeria is not as bad (although now it feels that the actual interview date can't come fast enough), so I can only imagine what it's like to get to this point and have to do more waiting just for an interview to be scheduled. But you've jumped through all of these hurdles, you'll certainly get through this. My husband and I had our K1 denied back in 2014 (back when we were only engaged). I was hurt, depressed, etc. and didn't know if I could bear to go through this process again, especially to deal with more waiting. But here we are, more waiting but we know that there's purpose. The great thing about VisaJourney is that there's a community of people here to encourage and support you while you wait, there's people to relate with so you're not alone. I'll be rejoicing with you and other Jamaica filers as interview dates for Jamaica begin rolling in!

I know exactly what you mean. Skype can only do so much. For us it makes us miss each other even more by seeing each other but not being able to touch each other is almost unbearable. I hope you get through as soon as possible with no set backs whatsoever. I wish you and your spouse all the best

shsl73 I can count on you to always say something cheerful and supportive. Thank you so much for that. I don't know if it's just me but it seems like this month is the longest month of the year so far. I can't imagine having to wait another month just for the date alone and then more waiting for the interview. I would have possibly lost my sanity if it had not been for all of your support and advise here on VJ.

Thank you for keeping me as well as others in your thoughts and prayers. Truly appreciate all the love and support here. Some of the nicest people on here. I am so sorry to hear about your denial and what you have had to go through and continue to go through. That takes so much strength. I wish you a must successful interview without anymore delays or set back whatsoever. I believe that this time around things will work the way you want it to and that you will share your good news on here with all of us.

??? we have to keep each other encouraged. There's truth in, "I am my brothers keeper."

Trust me...I know what you are going through! But I promise you the finish line for this leg of the race soon approachs and those tears will be a thing of the past (well until you are reunited but those will be happy tears!) I am convinced that tears are a good thing! Its a cleansing or detox of some sorts...??. And trust me....I have eaten my stress so I'm [past] due for a good cleansing/detox!

On a side note...since we are all in the phase we can easily say that we have contributed to the environment to some degree...NO (MORE) PAPER was used for 60 days +/-.

Just try to keep things light and easy, as much as possible. When you can find something to smile or laugh about...makes the day(s) a little easier to cope with.

Of course after I posted last night, they emailed the Case Complete letter this morning, dated 3/23/16. I'm worried because we have a trip scheduled to Iceland from 4/29 - 5/10. If they end up scheduling this interview just before that or during the trip, we'll have to reschedule it for at least a week later in May. What would be the process to get an interview date changed if that happens?

To change your date after scheduling you would need to wait until your case file gets to embassy (CEAC status will say READY) you would then email embassy and request a later day.

But you will know in the next 3 weeks if you got a May date or not.

will they allow yo to renew with still a year of validity?
