A word of advice to all... When you land in the US do visit your local ssn field office to check the status of your ssn application if you had opted for in ds 260. Don't wait for it as you wait for the plastic green card. I realised when I went to ssn office after three weeks that they didn't have any ssn application pending from me and this is when I had opted for it. I filled in a new ssn application form there. After this it takes two days to get the ssn assigned meaning now you can get your number and get going with the things you immediately need the ssn for. And within two weeks the actual card will arrive in mail.

The plastic green card comes when it comes. Will enquirer with uscis field office here if don't get it in 60 days. Apparently 60 days is what you wait before making a complaint.

1NOA: 27th Feb. 2015

USCIS approval: 17th July 2015

Some sort of additional processing/ sup. review/ they-don't-know-what-it-is-and-there-is-no-timeline: 12th Nov. 2015

Interview scheduled on 28th Dec. 2015

9weeks!! Oh Blimey!.....

Was there a special request to reschedule to a latter date cos it seem scary to assume UK Consulate has that much of a long wait....

Yes - I was originally scheduled for April 5th, but I work on a cruise ship (which I'm still on!) and I wouldn't be home in time to get a medical done and make that interview!!

Tomorrow (21st) is our first wedding anniversary and we are apart. I don't even have words for how much my heart hurts right now. Wish we didn't have to be apart right now. Sorry guys, just venting. I know all of you will understand how I'm feeling right now.

I pray I don't lose my mind between now and 27th April. This interview can't come fast enough. I'm sick and tired of watching special days go by and I'm away from my husband. :clock::clock::cry::cry::crying::crying:

Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby!

I know how you feel. My birthday was in February and our wedding anniversary was the beginning of March, so I was also a bit sad not being able to spend either day with my husband. But looking at the bright side of things, this part of the journey is almost over and you'll soon be able to make up for those missed occasions. It will be well ;).. throughout the day just try and reflect on the memories that you have together with your husband. Hopefully that will bring you joy and help you get through the day.

I was also away from my husband on our wedding anniversary. We watched a movie together and act like we were with each other. My interview was last week and I am almost at the end of all this. When I was assigned for my interview, I thought that my interview was so far away, but next thing I know, I was at the Embassy. Be patient as your interview is soon. Prepare all your docs, enjoy time with friends and family. And you will be with each other soon. Best feeling the world !

Good luck and keep us posted.

Awww...Happy Anniversary!!!!

You don't need to apologize for venting (not at all).....you are entitled to have several moments doing this process because it does test you on so many levels.

Hang in there--this too shall pass and the 27th will be here before you know it and your hubby will be here!!!

Hang in there--there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Amen and amen..not being entirely religious but Maybe this wait was positive afterall..it puts u in a position where u have no one except God..thus unearthing a renewed faith in Him. This phase will indeed be over soon..

So true..there is a "lesson" in everything. I can only speak for myself, but I have grown tremendously during this process. Patience was not by greatest virtue. I've learned just to relax " a little".

I'm still stuck in Ready mode (Ready for Interview) from the 16th. Apparently the CEAC system has glitches in it and does not always update. I read somewhere on these boards that it is not always an accurate assessment of where things are at. Hopefully it is issued in the next few days. :)

Frank, you got any pull in Montreal? Ha...

That is exactly what I mean..patience wasn't my strong suit either but now I have learned to just wait...afterall that is the only option.
