APPROVED!!

Just got back to the hotel from the Montreal embassy--my wife's interview was simple and quick. I'll write up a longer review tomorrow when I'm back in the States. Whole thing lasted 2 hours from security check-in to interview.

Good luck to everyone with interviews coming up!

Congrats!

Yeah we weren't nervous the entire process, until now..lol crazy! That's awesome your husband has family their. Our hotel alone for one night is over $240 in Montreal. My husband will have to drive from Ottawa tomorrow there and back, and then drive back next Wednesday. All in the name of love. :)

Wow! That's super expensive yuck! Now I am even more grateful he has family there! Things are gonna go completely smoothly for you!! I feel it!!!

I keep looking over what he needs to bring to his interview. There wasn't much listed cause I sent everything to nvc ( algeria embassy is a tad tuff on men) I'm kinda super nervous.

According to NVC portal, he needs to bring to the interview all the original civil documents you guys previously sent to NVC, plus a copy of each, a current police certificate, his current passport, 2 photos and AOS.

Your embassy must have a P4 letter with instructions and specific requirements.

Ex: Mine requires divorce papers for both of us from previous marriage, (when applicable)not just the beneficiary as NVC lists. Also our instructions required 7 photos, 1 for lab, 4 doctor, 2 for interview.

All that other bona fide marriage stuff is optional but historically mandatory for certain high fraud countries.

Do not be nervous, focus instead.

We had a lean, just required stuff package and another one with extra stuff just in case.

For instance we had a translation to English of the beneficiary's BC just in case because USCIS does not longer ask for it and NVC does not require translations if documents are in the language of the of the beneficiary's country, but our embassy requires English translations for all civil docs.

I searched it for you, yes they do ask for 2 photos:

http://algiers.usembassy.gov/panel_physicians.html and they prefer these photographers http://algiers.usembassy.gov/photo_requirements2.html

http://algiers.usembassy.gov/tips-for-a-smooth-visit.html

http://algiers.usembassy.gov/family_based.html

According to link above, they want 3 photos for interview.

Notes on marriage fault, this is red flag for bona fide marriage supporting evidence. Prepare your husband with lots of evidence.

Awwww! Hubby and I are both fairly calm but excited lol... However that may change when he is 8 days away from interview! And I think the doc there in Montreal schedules the physical close like that on purpose. Hubby has his medical March 30.... Then interviewing April 5th. Montreal is like a five hour drive for him but luckily his aunt and uncle live there so he can stay the night with them and drive back to Saint Honore when he is done.... Lol just to drive it again for interview less than a week later poor guy.

I am really keeping an eye on all the Montreal people interviewing right before us! Good luck and I am sure we are all gonna do super well with everything going very easy and quick!!!

My hubby is literally one day ahead of yours! Medical in Montreal on the 29th, and then interview on the 4th (: I hope we can report back to you with the best of news in order to lift y'alls spirits!

Luckily for us, From Gatineau to Montreal is only 2.5 hours! But I can't wait for this all to be over with, time definitely seems to be flying now. in 10 days we will have been in the midst of this process for 1 year exactly ):

GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!!

MrsCrabs, on 12 Mar 2016 - 03:28 AM, said:snapback.png

удачи любыми путями☺

Good evening everyone and Frank, sending me all good wishes! I`m approved ))))

I have just come home from a long trip and I had a bad internet in Moscow so I couldn`t write you or even read posts properly so had to wait till I can use my own computer. Though I was extremely nervous and brought 4 folders of papers and originals and photos, I wasnt asked to show any of it. I had to wait more then 2 hours before I was called to the window - families with screaming bored young kids were invited before quiet adults sitting in silence. So CO just looked at me very friendly and paid all attention to me, without looking at monitor or typing. She asked me just a few questions (she started to speak Russian with me but I switched into English somehow and she didnt correct me and we continued talking in English):

- Tell me your story, how did you meet?

- What does your husband do in USA?

- How many times did he visit you?

- What are you going to do in USA, what positions you can take to work?

I was too talkative I think, there was so much to tell about our story (we lived in Russia together for three years) and I jumped from one thing to another and she didn`t ask anything really serious. I even brought new tax form from my sponsor and I offered her to have new papers but she refused. I thought for a second she got tired of listening to me ))))) She told me I was approved and gave me a paper saying how to pay GC payment and my status on CEAC site almost immediately turned to ISSUED (Your visa has been printed). I also checked passport delivery and it said that my passport was at Pony Express getting ready to be delivered.

I`m exhausted and I can barely feel joy but I`m definately relieved! Going to have a peaceful night sleep!!!!

Good luck to everyone that are going to have their inteviews. Thanks for help and support from people on this site and I hope we can meet in USA someday )))

Congratulations on your approval and safe travel to the USA.Happy to hear that you got through the process smoothly.
