@dwheels for the Nigeria police character certificate does it include the fingerprint page or just the pink looking certificate page. My husband scanned both but the fingerprint page is not clear. He said that I don't need that page is just for his copy. I am sending our package today just want to be sure.

Thanks.

Hi all, I'm a newbie here. My interview is coming up and I'm excited/nervous!

This might be a dumb question but am I supposed to contact the embassy or should I expect to hear from the embassy before the interview? My understanding is that they will contact us if and only if they need any additional documents.

Thank you guys so much! :) The interview with the CO went well! Simple questions were asked then she said the words "You are qualified" ( I've heard the CO's here use that instead of the usual you are approved). She said that they didn't receive my PCC from the Fiji Police Headquarters and their (Embassy) server was down so I was going to be scheduled for another/second interview to take the oath and get the digital fingerprints done. She issued me a 221(g) white slip of course which indicates I have a missing document - which is the PCC which needs to be submitted asap She kept my passport and gave me back my original civil documents and the evidences I provided for our bona fide marriage (to the grumpy lady who was collecting the documents before the CO) but took the passport photos and original copies of the financial docs.

For those of you who are about to have their interviews - > breathe!(lol) Be the first to smile and say good morning - this makes me feel i have have things under control and gives me confidence :star:

I am so happy that everything worked out for you. You will have your visa in hand soon. Congrats!!

Good morning all! I have a few originals I had to send to my husband for his interview. My divorce papers weren't the originals so I wanted to make sure he absolutely sure that he had a certified copy with the embossed seal to take in with him for his interview on April 5.... And I realized this morning that it means his interview is only 19 days away. OMG! This whole process has drug so slowly and now since cc it seems like the time is FLYING!! Yay! Lol is anyone else feeling this way too? Or has the Visa process finally driven me bonkers?! Congratulations to everyone who has received visas, approvals, interviews and cc's!

Depending on the embassy, you have to justify why you are requesting an earlier interview. It depends on the Embassy if they approve it or not.

I saw someone who just request an early interview date without justication and got approved. But your embassy is requesting justification.

I have a weird one and it's freaked me out. Hubby had his medical today and all went well. Interview is 19th April. We are eager to get this over with so we can actually start planning our actual move (we are all on Ireland now). So I wrote to the embassy requesting an earlier interview date. They wrote me back and said ""Can you please provide justification as to why you require an earlier interview. You may wish to scan and submit evidence to support this.""

Umm...what the heck do we say to that? We just asked for it a bit earlier so we can have a definitive plan for moving at the end of May and start organising tickets, pet shipping etc.

But now I feel like we've walked into.a minefield. Anyone else get this when requesting an earlier date?

This feels like the longest 8 days ever! My stomach is in knots everyday, worrying about something haha. I just want next Thursday to be here already before I have a heart attack. My husband has his medical tomorrow in Montreal and now I am worrying because they told him to pick up his medical records the day before his interview next Wednesday. That leaves no room for error, so hopefully they are on it!

Well if you have no evidence for them just leave it be.

Many embassies want legit reasons like at USCIS and NVC.

Awwww! Hubby and I are both fairly calm but excited lol... However that may change when he is 8 days away from interview! And I think the doc there in Montreal schedules the physical close like that on purpose. Hubby has his medical March 30.... Then interviewing April 5th. Montreal is like a five hour drive for him but luckily his aunt and uncle live there so he can stay the night with them and drive back to Saint Honore when he is done.... Lol just to drive it again for interview less than a week later poor guy.

I am really keeping an eye on all the Montreal people interviewing right before us! Good luck and I am sure we are all gonna do super well with everything going very easy and quick!!!
