I had my Interview today at the South African Consulate...... interview went well.. they ddnt ask to see any of my documents i had gone with,,, CO only asked for my Original Birth Certificate..... i had provided an Attestation of Birth... but he requested the Original Birth Certificate... he kept my passport and asked me to come with the Original Birth Certificate.. Only then will my Visa be Issued... Questions Asked were

Who is calling you

Whats your wife's Name

What does she do

Whats your relationship with Joint Sponsor

Where does she work

whats your wife's Phone number

Thats all, then CO said we cant issue visa at this time.. until i provide my original Birth Certificate

In all.. it was a nice experience.... they didn't ask for 2015 tax papers.. i was really stressed about that earlier.....

Anything below 70 and I start to whine about the cold.. lol..

Haha it is so true! I'm from NY to and living in FL all these years has definitely thinned my blood. I guess I should dust off my jacket and winter hat (toque). Enduring the cold will be for a great cause, but I will still be whining though :goofy:

I've heard the green card can take a few months. (the passport stamp acts as a GC for a year).

For the SSN - Did you choose the option in your DS-260 to receive it automatically? If not, you have to apply at SSN office. If you did apply, and still haven't received it, call them at 1-800-772-1213.

Florida is definitely a special kind of place, the weather is one thing that can take time to get used to (: But it is basically summer all year long! B-)
