So we just received a Checklist email from NVC and I am a little confused. The email isn't very clear. Is the third page that says "instructions for _____" the checklist? If that is the case it says

"Our records show your police certificate may soon expire. If your police certificate will be older than one year at the time of your interview, please obtain a new police certificate before your interview. Thank you".

Or is the second page the check list or just standard instructions?

"Do not include any form of electronic media, including CDs and memory cards. If you send electronic media to the NVC, we will return it unopened.

Send photocopies of your civil documents (e.g., birth certificate).

Send an original, signed Form I-864 Affidavit of Support(s).

Failure to use this cover sheet will delay your visa.

Use this cover sheet only for the case number indicated below.

Information for any other case that you mail in the same package must include the cover sheet for that case.

Do not use this cover sheet if you are submitting forms and supporting documents by email. Instead, follow the directions under "Email processing" on http://nvc.state.gov/submit for English or spanish"

THANK YOU!!!! His police record expires in May 2016 so we will be good for next week.. Freaking out a bit lol

Would like to congratulate all who got their approvals and C/C.

I am extremely nervous about something that I believe may make my interview more difficult than others. I didn't find VJ until after my DS-260 was sent off to NVC and a lawyer is handling our case. My wife and I were discussing this earlier. I've noticed alot of people sent in pictures along with their DS-260 application as proof of marriage. While my wife and I were planning on doing that the lawyer didn't ask us for any of that stuff which I found odd. We have more than enough proof to show so I don't understand why the lawyer didn't ask us to send any along with the paperwork. Now I fear that my interview will be that much harder because the CO has nothing but the paperwork. It's been on my mind so much that I've gotten a headache. I'm already a paranoid individual. My DS-260 was sent in from December and got that email December 3rd and didn't see the 3rd N/A until all the way until January 22nd and C/C email until February 17th. Makes me feel like they have it out for me or something. My wife and I are worried. I wish we had just sent in our pictures and conversation history. We even told the lawyer we had it all before he sent in the paperwork and he didn't ask for any of it.

Picobenz is correct, you do not have any thing to worry about.

You have become a little paranoid because of a misunderstanding from your part.

No body in VJ has said you have to send evidence of bona fide marriage to NVC, furthermore there is no guide that instructs you to do so.

In matter of fact you do not have to prove that your marriage is NOT fraudulent to NVC, you already proved to USCIS that your marriage is legitimate and that is why you are at the stage you are now.

Certain countries and areas in the world have a high percent of immigrant visa petitions based on FRAUDULENT claims and for this reason CO (Consulate Officers) may ask for marriage evidence such as pictures, social media logs, airline ticket receipts, hotel receipts, phone call receipts, etc, AT THE TIME OF THE INTERVIEW.

You have plenty of time to gather the marriage evidence aforementioned to bring with you to the interview.

In mi wife's case the CO did not ask for any marriage evidence.

If you wish, PM your fellow countrymen that have received their visas and ask them what kind of marital evidence, if any was requested by the CO.

You can find their VJ names in Dwheels76 spread sheet :

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xbLl_8yDgHLeDaLnTrPdYc44J0sjPSFfYCKxlKx6uTY/edit#gid=0

or on a VJ custom timeline search like this one:

Note: Look at the column "TOTAL DAYS File-->Int" The number of days followed by * are members that received their visas already.

Hi ,good night anyone have info on how long the Jamaica embassy takes to reply to emails?

This was my experience.. when I emailed them regarding a general inqury, I heard back from them within 7 business days or less. That was the initial response but I had a follow up question/correspondence and never have heard back.?

I don't think you have a real problem, just bring your stuff to the interview. I didn't put any relationship evidence either. But they will ask for what they want at the window.

Thank you so much.

Thank you Frankjavir and Picobenz. That put me at ease. I don't know what I would do without this site. Very informative. I just want our case to go as smoothly as possible. So I worry easy. Again thanks for putting my mind at ease guys. We have gathered our evidence still intend on gathering more while we await P4 (interview email ). Edited by Edissa508

Shsl73, i email them 2/24 and no reply. Iam so confused i didnt get my interview letter .

I am not at the point where you are in the process but from my understanding the interview letter comes from the NVC on behalf of the Embassy (country) in which you are petitioning for the beneficiary. I am not as well versed as so some of the others here but I would call NVC today and let them know that you never received your interview letter. You can elect to send a follow-up email to Kingston but I truly believe that you should start with the NVC.

If I understand correctly, from the information that I have read on their Embassy site and Andrews Medical Hospital site, you need the letter for both the medical appointment and to enter the Embassy.

Also, I know of another person that emailed them coming on a week ago and hasn't gotten a response from them yet either.

Please keep us informed on your progress with the situation.
