I'd like to share the good news,we got our CR1 visa approved last March 10.:)

I can't thank everyone enough in this site for being so supportive.

Just waiting for our passport to be delivered this week. Again, thank you so much!

Okay called NVC just now to inquire about the error I made with my birth city, birth state and country. Lord I put I was born in Houston Texas, Nigeria. LOL And its Georgetown South Carolina, USA heh

[spoiler]Green card I-130:Wedding date January 16th,2015 I-130 sent: May 5th,2015 NOA1: May 7th, 2015 NOA2: October 23rd,2015 Sent to NVC Nov 3rd, 2015 Received at NVC on the November 9th,2015 NVC sent letter with Case number on December 2nd,2015 DS-261 on December 07th, 2015 Paid AOS fee on December 07th,2015 Paid IV fee on December 12th, 2015 Sent AOS and IV package on December 17th, 2015 Form Ds 260 submitted on December 21, 2015. (Delay due to Ds261 showing incomplete had to resubmit) Scan date: December 21st, 2015 Case complete: January 29th, 2016 Medical examination: March 4th, 2016 Interview: March 17th, 2016 at US Embassy in Paris - Approved ! March 18th, 2016 - CEAC shows visa ISSUED March 24th, 2016 - Visa received this morning Paid ELIS $165 fee + book flight on MArch 24th, 2016 POE Chicago on April 13th, 2016  Received green card on June 8th, 2016[/spoiler][/spoiler]

:) Indeed this was a head scratcher for me too. Prior to and after getting case complete I studied your timeline as well as others with upcoming interviews for Nigeria and I thought for sure the earliest we could get scheduled is May. The only thing I can think of is maybe there was a cancellation and so they plugged us into that slot... Either way, very grateful and humbled as I know this may not be the norm.

Our interview dates are exactly 1 week apart, so I'll be praying for you and your husband as we also countdown to ours. And the countdown begins :clock:

Makes sense the cancellation scenario. And of course I am on the sidelines with my cheer pom-pom. I already know we both are approved.

can;t wait to hear your review. This will be fun. My husband for a hot minute today asked "maybe we should ask for an earlier date since I have my medical done, LOL

1/15/2016 Called NVC and got case/invoice number logged into this site to pay fees, pick agent -> https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx 1/15/2016 picked agent DS-261

1/18/2016 paid aos fee

1/28/2016 review 261 to get iv fee unlocked ( unlocked once I did review,was taking to long)

2/1/ 2016 sent AOS & IV packets together to nvc while I waited for iv fee to open to save time.

2/4/2016 paid IV Fee and waited to do ds260

2/3/2016 nvc received aos and iv packets(scan date)

2/7/2016 ds260 completed and now waiting for cc

Handed in aos sept 11th

Set 18th another update

Sept 28th update and embassy called

SEPT 29TH ISSUED FINALLY

OCT 2nd visa in hand

POE October 22nd 2016

My wife got the interview letter via email just now. Interview date is April 25th at the Tokyo Embassy.

May 15 2015 - Sent form I-130 to USCIS

May 19 2015 - form I-130 received by USCIS

May 22 2015 - form I-130 routed to Nebraska Service Center

June 29 2015 - form I-130 approved

July 7 2015 - Case approved and sent to Department of state.

August 20 2015 - DS-261 Submitted

September 2 2015 - IV/AOS fee paid

November 2nd 2015 - DS-260 Completed

January 22nd 2016 - NVC Scan Date

February 25th 2016 - Case Complete

February 26nd 2016 - 3 N/A's

March 12 2016 - Received Interview letter via email

April 25th 2016 - Interview at Tokyo Embassy

April 25th 2016 - Visa Approved!

April 28th 2016 - Received Passport with 6 month visa in mail.
