Hey Hey!

I did receive an automated email with tracking info when it was shipped. I also received a Canada Post email with the tracking information. I did also notice the ais-usvisa-info.com website updated to show my tracking number under Status beside my name, passport number, and case number. (Previously it said check DS-260).

I paid the extra $20 to have it shipped directly to me (since I work from home).

Great! Thank you!

Okay called NVC just now to inquire about the error I made with my birth city, birth state and country. Lord I put I was born in Houston Texas, Nigeria. LOL

And its Georgetown South Carolina, USA hehe

He said take the corrected information from the printout we made of the DS-260 to interview and give to CO. No problem.

My PSA of Information to pass on from NVC:

So then I asked the rep (a nice man) well income tax season is here are those who interviews that fall after April 15th or even in April going to have to bring updated I-864 and file their 2015 taxes.

He said all he can say is the embassy has what we submitted and its up to each embassy and CO to instruct what they want. He advised though "File and bring updated everything for those with dates Starting in April.

Thank you for posting this regarding new tax returns for those with interview from April onwards.

I understand the CO will probably ask for new tax returns for 2015. But will they really ask for new wet-signed original I-864 forms from the petitioner and any joint sponsors? Should'nt the original I-864 filed with NVC still be valid?

Also, for the tax returns for 2015, most people file these electronically and do not physically sign the 1040. So, is it okay for the beneficiary to present the unsigned 1040 forms at the interview or should the petitioner physically sign these?

More than likely yes because the I-864 needs to be updated now with 2015, 2014, 2013. Some CO's I have seen in past will just ask for 2015 W2. Some want it all. It really is a guess.

well you would need to print off the electronic copy and than sign it. Since you are presenting it to them I would have it signed.

I am filing a extension yes. Have to wait until March 18th that's when its available on TurboTax. I already have my 2015 W2. Will fill out a new updated I-864 and have extension all ready for interview.

I have to file extension cuz I owe too much money. :ranting::protest:
