Okay called NVC just now to inquire about the error I made with my birth city, birth state and country. Lord I put I was born in Houston Texas, Nigeria. LOL And its Georgetown South Carolina, USA heh

7 days after case complete. Maybe today or tomorrow. Really doesn't matter if you got confirmation via phone. That's what matters..

You can ask them if they started scheduling for the country?? I tried to ask them a couple days ago, they said they wouldn't know....

The person you talked to may not have known or didn't want to bother. Of course I hope you are asking for your embassy. Why would you care if it's Nigeria or anywhere else.

This is what I keep posting to people here. Please be specific about what you want. One thing I have learned about government and USCIS and NVC if you don;t be specific you will get generic answers.

Saying "are you done scheduling for April. You will get a yes we are. But done for who Nigeria, China, Japan, but others have not started. NVC has to wait for each embassy to send their calendar full of dates to start filling the slots. Some embassies are fast and get them in soon some are not it just depends.

If you want to know if Taiwan has started or done you ask specially for your embassy.

Just called ... They said I have a checklist?????? but my husband called yesterday, they said it was completed!!!! what do I do now?

Call again. If the rep said again checklist, ask them what the checklist is about so you could prepare to send the doc as soon as possible

[spoiler]Green card I-130:Wedding date January 16th,2015 I-130 sent: May 5th,2015 NOA1: May 7th, 2015 NOA2: October 23rd,2015 Sent to NVC Nov 3rd, 2015 Received at NVC on the November 9th,2015 NVC sent letter with Case number on December 2nd,2015 DS-261 on December 07th, 2015 Paid AOS fee on December 07th,2015 Paid IV fee on December 12th, 2015 Sent AOS and IV package on December 17th, 2015 Form Ds 260 submitted on December 21, 2015. (Delay due to Ds261 showing incomplete had to resubmit) Scan date: December 21st, 2015 Case complete: January 29th, 2016 Medical examination: March 4th, 2016 Interview: March 17th, 2016 at US Embassy in Paris - Approved ! Not if your interview is after April 18th (yes you get until the 18th since 15th is on a friday). You need to either file or file an extension.

And I have seen in the previous years embassies (all over the place) putting people in AP until they file current year and submit to embassy. With it getting so close who knows. It seems it's usually an issue for those who have joint sponsors and those who were very close to the poverty line (they made enough but it's shaky).

So it's a roll the dice type thing whether they ask or not.

Could you submit the document at your interview? Ask them if you could bring the certificate to the embassy.

Sometimes they approved cases although you have a checklist and they request that you bring the requested document at the interview.

well i cant call nvc cuz im here in Egypt now but when I had some peple call from the states the nvc they said they dont know anything about the embassy and even wouldn't hint out if april was filled or if they have started with schedulaing

Do you have gmail. You can dial straight from there like you in US. I'm in Nigeria and thats how I called NVC from my laptop dialed the 1-603-334-0700
