I know how you feel, I remember you got what I call a non-intrusive check list regarding your AOS.

The CO focused on your civil documents and forgot to go further or overlooked your checklist and even though you knew about it you did not mentioned it to him.

This AOS issue is nothing knew they discovered while the AP was taking place, this AOS issue came from NVC and both parts failed to address it at the interview.

I am sorry this became a hard lesson for you but you gracefully shared it for others to learn from it.

Pople, if you have been flagged with an AOS checklist to be resolved at the interview, do not keep your mouth shut if the CO does not ask for it, be proactive and mention it to him so everything is cleared and settled at the interview. It will cost you time and money, particularly if you do not live in the same city where the embassy is located because you may be required to come back or at least mail what ever documentation is pending.

Well can be it was my own problem about that paper.

But i expect that people know how to do there jobs, like people do when i come to look at there IT.

I was not going to offer them information that maybe nor was needed.

I even emailed them after the interview and they never told me it was missing.

So all in all, it was the CO that didnt know how to do there job, i even spoke with 2 diff. CO, so both of them "missed" my checklist.

And coming in to the Embassy, then brain of the person going through the steps will stop somewhat.

But again i tell people in here so they maybe not have to go through the same as me.

Now the mail is on it´s to them and i emailed them telling it was and that i was not happy about them not telling me they needed the information when i was there.

Hi, vj family i need your imput my interview is schedule for 4/1 and my medical is 3/16 but i haven't received the interview letter . I try email the embassy no reply . I don't know what to do

??? unless Jamaica is different from other countries, your interview letter is the one NVC emailed you stating your interview is on 4/1.

How did you learn your interview is on 4/1?

Interviews are typically only scheduled during the last week of each month through the first week of the following month. There are occassions where there are interviews scheduled prior to then but more often than not it is due an expedited case.....

Yes my friend, it is very unfortunate what happened, STK is not a busy post, therefore the COs do not have much exposure to the multiple situations that may occur on immigrant visas.

Frankjavir, my case was expedited so the consolate schedule the interview. I called DOS and they told me my interview date.

Try to register here:

https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/iv

You need your NVC case # and the DS-260 confirmation number which starts with AA. Both numbers are located at the bottom of your DS-260 confirmation page.

If you are able to register, you should be able to see your Interview date and arrange visa delivery via DHL.

Then you should be able to print the IL and instructions for Jamaica. (they vary a lot, each embassy has different twists to these processes)

Congratulations to all who have gotten their interviews approved! And for those who are about to have their interviews - all the best!!

A quick update on our cases;

Case complete: Feb 12th

Interview scheduled: Feb 24th - Interview April 26th

Emailed expedite request : Feb 26th (Reason_The effects of the Cyclone that hit Fiji)

Visa Status show "In Transit" : Feb 29th

Visa Status show "Ready" : March 2nd

Medicals Completed: March 7th

Waiting on the Embassy to assign our new interview date *crossing all toes and fingers for a March interview*

After you make the payment you can start tracking your Green Card status. Note: The process starts only after immigrant goes through POE.

Hello everyone,

I've been following this thread for some time, but have been silent throughout. Great information and feedback from everyone on here so thank you!

I just checked my case status online as I normally do (4-5 times a day lol) and I just saw 3 N/As! The N/A under the AOS fee is greyed out which I assume is what it should look like? Either way I'm excited, my husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary yesterday so if case is indeed complete it makes for a great anniversary present

I'm going to call NVC a little later to confirm, but my scan date is Feb 5th... fyi for others that are waiting.

7. When you log again on the ELIS account, you will see your case number. (It is added automatically).

Ahh, maybe I should wait a bit then. I paid the fee like 2 weeks ago before hubby arrived and I just created ELIS today. I found some info on the USCS site and I thought I could check status there, but the last status case on that one was when it was sent to NVC in October (we are well passed that stage). So I will wait, and see if the accounts link together after today.
