Ok, so my hubby's interview is the Dublin embassy on the 19th of April. Does that mean I need to bring an updated w2 from his sponsor? I don't think the sponsor has even filed this years taxes yet...

Always better to be safe then sorry.

I your JS didn't filled yet or will not do it yet.

Then you may be looking at a AP until they get the papers.

Since this in not advisable...I would then just take the photobooks..

The reason why I don't advised photocopies of photos at interview is because interviews are about original everything. I have seen many many times people report the CO wanted to see the original pics submitted. It's just better to have the originals so they know its not Photoshop, altered and really this is your time to show your best and brightest. The pretty romantic album. I know of friends who took a suitcase full of photos. If the CO wants to see them they will ask. No problem for them. :goofy:

Glad to see Jamaica has the C/Cs rolling out. Hopefully they will get interview dates rolling the end of this month as well for January and February and hopefully to squeeze in some of March C/Cs for interviews for May. Being very hopeful and optimistic. Big thanks to Dwheels76 also about the advisement regarding pictures

You are welcome. So ready to see some Kingston interviews assigned. Goodness.

Here's what happened yesterday at my interview in Honduras US Embassy

Me interview was set at 9am, I got to the embassy around 8:40am, waited around 10 mins in the line for inmigrant visas then I was send to windows 1 where the lady asked me for the interview letter, she marked her paper then she send me to security line, after I passed security I got to the waiting room after 15 mins they called my name to windows 4 this representative too my fingerprints and asked for:

- Birth certificate

- Passport

- 2 photos 2x2

- Honduras police record

- Medical exams

- Waiver 601 Approval ( this was not included in P4)

And then she asked me if I have any proof of my relationship with my petitioner so I gave her:

- Warranty deed of our house in Miami

- Documents of our business

- 10 photocopies of airplane tickets and Hotel reservations of trips we have made together in the past 2 years

- Photos of our wedding, wedding dinner with friends, honeymoon, photos with my husband Family in Puerto Rico, photos of some others trips, photos of parties at our house with about 70 friends invited, photos of my husband campaign (he was running for a mayor for a city in Puerto Rico.

- photocopies of the newspaper showing him as the first gay man running for mayor in Puerto Rico ( article shows a photo of us )

- Photo of some interview we made at Univision, Telemundo and some radio stations.

- Photocopies of bills showing the address we live (FPL, water bill, cable, credit cards we have together.

NONE of my photos were in a album, I just printed about 300 photos and I took them in the little folders shutterfly sent them to me. I just marked each folder saying where those photos were taken.

Then the lady told me to wait in the waiting room that the consul will call me in a while, the waiting room was packed apparently with a lot of people from 7am interviews. At 11:40am i was called to window 3 this lady gave me a paper to come back at 1pm cause they were a little busy to interview me before 12. ( Thanks God this happened I had to run to the hotel to packed my stuff check out in that hotel was at 1pm so I had to leave my bag in the bell desk)

Then I went back to the embassy ( the hotel is located a block from there) Got to the embassy showed to security the paper they gave me earlier to come back at 1pm.

Then after 20 mins they FINALLY called my name to window 4 at that point I was very anxious to finish with all of this.

Consul just asked:

- How we met

- What date we got married

- What city in the states we live

- and if I ever got trouble with the police ( I said that the only problem I had was driving without driving license, I sent the court records to NVC showing that my case was dismissed)

Then he started to give me some of the documents that was send to NVC and also all the photos, travel tickets and he started talking me about my rights in the US and he highlighted a paper saying that I was APPROVED but i couldn't see this paper from the other side of the window so I asked him if i was Approved? He said Yes Sir.

He told me to wait about 5 days to get my visa package and the passport. At the moment I was crying, finally after 12 yrs of living ILLEGALLY in the State I will be able to feel free. Although I had accomplished so much this feeling of being legally is PRICELESS.

Thanks to Dwheels you are the BEST, reading this forums since I-130 was approved, help me ALOT.

I'll be back in the state hopefully March 30, POE Miami

I'll write details about it when I arrive.

Hello! Hope everyone is holding strong. You guys are almost at the end of the road! Congrats to the new CCs and, all the April interviews.

So my husband is all set to travel next week. I'm so excited!! I'm worried about the fact he's not on a direct flight to NYC. He has a stop over in Miami, and then a connecting flight to LGA. Will that be a problem.

If it's a change of planes he will POE in Miami. So I hope he has a good 2 hrs layover between flights, He will be fine. Congratulations welcome him to America for me.

First i get this:

post-219874-0-53642000-1457448038_thumb.jpg

Then i get this in a email:

Dear Sir,

As we were reviewing your file again, we noticed that you have not submitted an updated affidavit of support I-864 from petitioner as you were instructed on the 29th of February before your interview.

Petitioner must enter her intended U.S. address, as well as submits a letter as to why she did not file taxes in the U.S. (or submits her tax return for the most recent taxable year). Note that the current income in Part 6 must be only U.S. income. If petitioner does not have U.S. income, she must put ‘zero’.

Original signed I-864 has to be sent to us per post with U.S. tax return or letter explaining why taxes are not filed.

Best regards,

Immigrant Visa Unit

Embassy of the United States of America

Dag Hammarskjölds Väg 31

SE-115 89 Stockholm

Sweden

What the F is going on ?

I had the papers with me, but was never asked to give it to them...

So if you are asked to bring something, then the Embassy will not ask, you have to give them it your self...

So sorry. Unfortunately this is what happens when one is in AP it opens the door for them to look deeper. Really sorry dear.

All I can tell everyone get your 2015 financials in order. Please don't just assume because NVC accepted your documents all is well. Every embassy and every CO ask for different things. Some CO's may ask now in March for 2015 taxes. I have seen in the past embassies doing that.Y

Just have all your ducks in a row.

Sorry for being so late back to the party guys! I have been so busy with mid-terms! But I saw where someone says we need a wet signature on the I-864 that we bring to the interview?? Since I sent the originals via mail-- and didn't do EP-- will a copy suffice? Or should my joint sponsor sign a new copy of the i-864?
