Oh okay than I am not sure where these other posts are coming from with 4 weeks! They may be old news I didn't check the dates! Ours shouldn't even take THAT long, since our interview is on a Monday and we are only just in the Ottawa area. (: Thank you for making the path easier for the other Canadians coming after you!

So true but if you have questions about the scheduling you can always place a call to NVC and ask the question. I don't know if they will provide any information but it never hurts. If I recall correctly, there was a post earlier in this thread from another VJer of JA indicating they placed a call either Monday or Tuesday asking the question and they were informed that they would be scheduling for JA until the 15th. That doesn't mean that between the time the call was placed and now that slots haven't filled up already. I know the days feel like weeks and weeks feel like years but hold on...our time is coming (slowly) but coming. Again, you can place the call to NVC.

And as a side note, the spreadsheet is a wonderful resource for having a benchmark but there could be dates being granted to ppl who aren't members here. Any movement seen, unseen, heard and unheard is progress.

Keep the faith my friend and hold on?.

Shs173 Thank you for the supportive words. I was thinking about calling NVC again but I don't want to hear that they have no updates so I am at this point forcing myself to be patient until maybe the last week of this month (though I am hoping they will email a letter to surprise me regarding my interview date) Funny enough I was alot more patient last year when just starting the process. Now I look on the calendar almost daily. Ironic that I am lacking more patience as we are so close to finally starting our lives together and being with each other everyday.Trying to keep myself preoccupied daily but it never leaves my mind. I've probably said it a million times on here. This is torture.

This where I am at too, almost at the end and being very impatient.

Understandable. I was the same way at the onset too and feel like the car is almost running out of gas the closer it gets (more anxious than before). This is definitely not an easy process (a marathon and not a sprint), as far as the "hurry up and wait" goes. And I'm am by far not the most patient of persons but I do honestly believe that there is a lesson in everything. So in these moments of anxiousness, I try very hard to do alot of positive self talk (cause your mind will wonder) and keep myself busy with something else. One of the things that we try to do is continue to focus on building a good solid foundation (because there going to be other challenges when the move is made), only talk about the slowness of things when necessary and focus on the milestones when they occur. We try to laugh alot and argue less because most times those are rooted from being apart. I know it's easier said than done but it's true when you hear people say change your mind, change your situation. Its a little different for me, as I am prior military and have experienced more than a couple of times being separated from family for extensive periods of time. And then..there's always exercise which releases good endorphins....hey it's a 2 for 1, you get the "happy" feeling and keep your Justin Timberlake on (?"I'm bringing sexy black..yup").???

Hi Guys! O.k here's my question of the day - I filed my 2015 taxes and my lawyer re-did my AOS (I864) document to reflect that..however I just noticed while i was putting husbands interview documents in order that my lawyer signed the new AOS document, but dated it 2/26/2015 NOT 2016! So my question is, can I fill out a new AOS form on my own?I would literally take word for word what my lawyer submitted to NVC, but include my current 2015 tax reflection and just not include him as the Preparer?

Will the embassy question why we filled out the new one on our own?? OR do I have to contact my stupid lawyer and wait for him to fix his mistake and send me a new one? ERRRR

No they won't question why you completed your own I-864. But I would just have lawyer reprint and resign. Probably alot easier no refilling or errors to worry about.

What college did ur wife attended before she left for the U.S? Co said he answer the questions correctly, but gave his Passport back n he should keep his phone on they will call him in one or two months. Think I heard him saying something abt AP. But he will email me the letter he received from the CO as soon as he gets home. Said he asked the Co if his visa was refused Co said No. We will contact u in one or two months. Any idea what was the prob.?

No problem. That's what we call mandatory AP. I would imagine because of the country he is in. Abit of unrest around there. So probably extra security checks. Could be a few days to weeks. So hang on a bit longer.
