I have known my fiance for about 5 months. We have applied for our k1 visa and got our NOA1 in the mail. I have gone to the Philippines and stayed with her for 15 days and we became engaged while i was up there. Shortly after i got back to the US i filed for the k1 visa. I love her like crazy and i never want to leave her. We are very sure that this is what we both want. I was wondering if the length of time we have known eachother is going to be a problem for obtaining our visa.

Filing the K1 petition only required that you two are free to marry and that you have met within the last two years.

To each their own on how long people date before they are ready for marriage. Personally, I've always taken my time to get to be serious with someone when dating in the US and it didn't change my approach with an international relationship.

Hi!I received a letter saying my case send to NVC and I need to wait 2-4 weeks or 30 days for the NVC to reply. Now it's almost 2 months and I still didn't get any notice from the NVC. I also emailed the NVC but still didn't have any reply back. Anyone know how long is the wait for the NVC to sent a letter or an email back to you? Is there another way to contact or reach the NVC? I tried calling their customer service number and received an automated message asking me to email my inquiry or call back later. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you!!! :)

The k1 visa process Can be a real test of will. We started our process in July And finally got our issued status yesterday. There were so many highs and lows And at one point I thought it would never happen But I have also seen some cases get issued quick and effortlessly. I do believe this will make for a very strong relationship because I have seen the effort my fiance the beneficiary has put into getting it done, traveling 5 hours to bangkok countless times without complaint shows me she will be my perfect wife

The U.S. Embassy Manila is very easy about that. No worries.

I mailed my i-129F exactly one month after my first online communication with my fiancee. During that month, I visited her and spent most of two weeks with her. We're planning to have the interview on about March 21, which will be less than 4 months after first contact. USCIS had no problem and I don't anticipate any problem at the interview.

Qualifying for the 129F petition is easy for most, so you should be fine. However, from this point on, save everything. Every text, every chat, every e-mail, every gift receipt, every airplane ticket, everything regarding your relationship. You will need this evidence in the next stage to prove the validity of your relationship. Good luck!
