Hi,

We are LPR and sponsoring our kid. I have question, my husband is a co-sponsor since he's working. He's full time and making only $10/hr = $19,200/yr. I-864p require 3 size household to be $25,112. Our bank has $6,000. If I add $19,200+6,000saving=$25,200. Does NVC calculate like that? If that's the case, that mean my income is pass?

Thanks

If you plan to use assets or bank account, then it will need 5 times the difference between your annual household income ($19,200) and 125% of the HHS poverty guideline for your household ($25,112).

Like aleful said, you will need to get a joint sponsor.

Definitely need a co sponsor. But your figure is incorrect. $10 an hour, 40 hours a week 52 weeks a year comes to $20,800. No overtime or part time income? Did you get a W-2 shows total?

Oh, I didn't time by 52-wks. (10*40*4*12).

Another question:

His bi-weekly paystub does not show total hour worked and $/hr. It just show total paid. If I took that total paid divide by 80 hours, he made $14/hr. Will NVC question why his paystub don't have hourly rate and total hour work for 2 weeks pay check. This will be how his paycheck look like starting 2016

See picture in previous post. So, that mean NVC will not question why his paystub don't have hour work and hour rate? If that's the case, then his income should be enough for sponsoring a 3 size household. Right?

All NVC cares about total figure. Doesn't matter how much per hour or week and how many jobs. $29000 is well above 125% poverty level for 3 members household. Make sure household counts all current members living in household and new immigrants coming combined. How about W-2 from 2015? Doesn't it show total income ? 2015 Tax return?

It may work. You show your current salary which is bi-weekly. If you get same pay every 2 weeks it's over $29,000 a year. You show recent pay stubs and a letter from your employer showing that's your pay every 2 weeks. Explain to NVC you didn't work whole year in 2015. But if your paycheck about same every 2 weeks you are well qualified for poverty guideline
