I filed for removal of condition in April last year, they made a spelling mistake of my name in the NOA 1 receipt and ASC appointment, so we had correct that when I went

in to do biometerics on June 1st 2015. My online status was updated to reflect the correction to my name on June 2nd and that is the last we've heard from them. Everyone

in the April thread seems to be approved, but I've heard nothing so far. No RFE, no nothing, NADA!!!

Has anyone had a similar experience or does anyone know what could possible be going on?

Vermont Service Center is still processing petitions with the month of March 2015 (That's what their website says but it was last updated on February 2016 and now are almost March) You are still in the normal processing time. Hold on there you should hear from USCIS soon.

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

You are still within normal processing time, but for your peace of mind, I'd suggest you call and ask for update. It won't hurt for you to try. My 2 cents :)

If you wish, and you qualify, you can file for citizenship. This will force USCIS to adjudicate your I-751.

Yeah, that what the website says, but I guess seeing the whole April thread getting approved is what unnerves me a little bit

Thanks, I give them a call this week, seeing that almost everyone on the April 2015 thread has gotten some kind of feedback

If you wish, and you qualify, you can file for citizenship. This will force USCIS to adjudicate your I-751.

I will qualify in April, so I'll take your advice and go a head and file the N 400 then

Thank you

This whole thing is frustrating for all of the VSC filers. I can't find an adjective to describe the slowness of VSC anymore. Tomorrow is March 1st 2016 and the official timeline is still from March 30th 2015!

Nitehero, I hope you hear something back as soon as possible but let's also hope the next USCIS timeline update will be beyond your NOA date so that you can talk to a Tier 2 officer to learn details if your case is still pending by then. That should be posted in about 10-12 days at the USCIS website. Keep checking that timeline and as soon as you see they are beyond your NOA date, call the customer service immediately. Also start collecting supporting documents for your N400 package. I hope you won't receive RFE for your I751 but just in case, the same documents would also help you respond to that RFE. Last thing you want is getting caught with an RFE unexpectedly and spend more time collecting documents. If you don't get an RFE, you will use most of those documents for your N400 package anyways. They are again asking tax returns, bank statements, and similar financial co-mingling documents.

It's one thing to be slow and then it's another thing entirely to see the entire April thread virtually approved and you're the only one left, it's driving me nearly insane LOL.

We gave very strong documents for the ROC; bank statements, tax transcripts, insurance, medical bills....etc, so I hope there's no RFE. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping I hear from them soon.

How's yours going by the way?

Just waiting like the rest of VSC clan. Two May cases posted approvals last week, none since then. They give us little hope then shut down on us again. However, N400 package is ready to go, my eligibility begins in two weeks. If they approve ROC within the next two weeks, it's fine but if not I will be filing for naturalization with ROC pending no matter what.

Unnecessary to talk to them. Just file N-400 & include a copy of your NOA1 for your I-751 with your packet. If your 1-year extension expires, you can go to an Infopass to get an an I-551 stamp.

You should only send a copy. And yes, you need to send it so USCIS can see you're not trying to just skip ROC.

Sent our I-751 89 days before that card expired, read if you send it in one day early, can be rejected. This is roughly 3 months, after 14 1/2 months of waiting, still no card, had to make an inforpass appointment for an I-551 stamp to stay legal.

It was a year and a couple of days after the I-751 we sent in the N-400 application, wife got a notice for her citizenship interview, still no 10 year card, but had her expired card, one year expired extension notice, and I-551 stamp in her passport. She passed, oath ceremony was scheduled one month later. Was a week before that, she finally received her to year card only to give it right back.

My stupid question is, why that 90 day limit before you can send in your I-751, at the rate they are processing these, should be more like a year.

We already had our AOS forms prepared before we were married, and sent those in the day after. Took a year before we were called in for the AOS interview, at the time her conditional card expired, already married for three years. If we were married for two years before our AOS interview, would have bypassed the ROC stage.

Her citizenship interview almost took an hour, her officer wanted to study every bit of original evidence she had to bring in. At about the same time, some character over 2,000 miles away was studying the same evidence to approve of her 10 year card. Don't even try to think how they operate, could hurt your brain. Just do it.

Just do it.

You can let people file earlier than 90 days but as long as the service center is not processing ROCs, it won't change anything. Official USCIS timeline for VSC has been stuck at March since last August. Whatever happened, some officer ordered to slow the operations down on ROCs. Go check the timelines on March 2015 thread if you'd like; the earliest approval was from 9/17/15 and the latest from 2/5/16. I should also note that last August they dumped all January and February cases to CSC. So it's just a preference to prioritize ROCs or not. ROCs constitute a very small portion of all petitions they receive (like 2%), So if VSC wants to accelerate ROCs, they can easily diminish all of the backlogged ROCs and catch up with CSC by the end of this month. However, they seem to be happy about whereever they are.
