Hey guys,

So i finally gathered all my financial documents and did the DS 160 with my husband online; printed the confirmation page.
Now went on to ustraveldocs.com/dz (per Algiers, Algeria embassy instructions) filled out husbands profile.

By the way, the weird thing is i know a k3 is a nonimmigrant visa, HOWEVER, on the ustraveldocs website, k3 is categorized under immigrant visa. Interestinggg.....and confusing.

anyways, I chose type of visa (k3) which was under "immigrant visas," chose post, specified and chose documentation delivery....then I get to step 8...asking me for CASE ID. I put in case number (beginning with ALG) and even tried putting in uscis receipt number and nothing works. I get the message "To attest payment...etc" as i've circled for you guys on screen shots. It says to enter receipt number and check box. NO IDEA what the heck they are talking about! I sure as heck dont see no box to be checked on that page!

I go to home page (Dashboard) (2nd image attached to this post,) and there is a fee payment of $265.But embassy clearly stated on their intstructions that visa fee must be paid in person on the day of the interview in exact amount.

Quote from ALGIERS instructions sent to me:

"Visa fee: The application fee for a nonimmigrant visa is U.S. $265, or the local currency equivalent. Each applicant must be prepared to pay this fee on the appointment date."

Of course, they state all fees are non refundable (on the site,) so who would want to pay online only to have to pay again at the US Embassy!

Please help. OH MY GOD. There is always something. We take one step forward and something like this happens and it throws us back 2 steps. :(

Anyone know a way around this/have been through this....or is there something Im doing wrong? the ustraveldocs site doesnt even have contact info...for tech support.
