Hello, everybody.
I have been married to a guy for almost two years. For many times, he has been very disrespectful to me. He throws things in my face, like, that he pays the bills and drive me to the places I need to go. He also says I deserve to eat rice every day but he is good to me, that is why he pays for things.
He does not let me work, so I think he is doing it to have power over me.
I don't have a phone anymore and he won't buy me one. My phone is broken, so my only way to communicate is when I am home with my laptop.
When we have fights, he always makes me feel I am the one to blame. I have been sick for being so stressed.
I have screenshots of the terrible things he says about me to people and how he makes them think that he is an angel. I also have recorded conversations where he is screaming at me all the time.
Divorce is not something I wanted to do, but I need to. I can't spend the rest of my life with someone who does not respect me. Every time I talk about divorce with him, he gets aggressive.
I wish I could say more details about it, but I can't.
I came to America with a K1 visa, I have the conditional residence, I got it last year. If I find a lawyer and show him/her the proofs I have, will it affect on my status?
This relationship was a 100% legit. But now I see it is not working out and I am miserable. I can't do it with myself anymore. Can someone help me?

You can file for divorce and then file to remove conditions with a divorce waiver. You will need to prove that the marriage was real and entered on good faith. To prove that you will need financial co-mingling evidence. There is another waiver which is that you were abused or battered. But it's hard to be approved because you need to prove that with documents, your chances with divorce waiver are higher.

All I have is a joint tax return from 2014. We also have health insurance. He signed me into college. I needed to prove I was a Florida resident, so as I am married to him, I proved residency through him.
What else can I do to prove that this relationship is real? I heard that pictures, videos and emails are not valid. How come they are not?
I also have traveling tickets and hotel receipts. We have a normal life like every couple. If this isn't enough, I don't know what it is.

Contact a family law attorney to get the divorce started. Also do some reading to learn about how to remove conditions on your own.

Remember that a family law attorney may not have much knowledge of immigration. So be sure you are getting good advice for both things.

in form I-751, filed for the next phase, the Removal of Conditions-

there's instructions on what they are looking for,

for proof of financial co-mingling.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

They do accept pictures and emails but they are considered as a secondary evidence. Joint tax return are good, as well as health insurance, tickets and hotel receipts as long as they have your both names. Any utility bills? Purchases together? If you have a driving license you can scan it and scan his to show the same address.

His drivers license is from another state other than Florida. I do not have a drivers license yet because I do not know how to drive, but I will work on it ASAP.

We don't have any utility bills together. We never purchased anything with both names on it.

I will start making him put my name on things. Sometimes I just want to walk away, but I know it would prejudice myself. I really feel lost.

All I have to show that I live in the same address as him is the letters I have from the USCIS.

I better start working to have my name on things here. I have nothing else than the things I have told you... it is really sad.

It's sad that it's not working out between you two. Try going to marriage counseling, that helps too to show that you both tried to fix things. If you believe that you have reached a dead end, then you better get ready for the battle instead of throwing yourself in the middle of no where, and by that I mean start collecting evidence because you never know what might happen. Just have him add your name on the utility bills and any joint accounts you have such as phone bills.

Do you think I should make him sign the papers for the Removal of Conditions right now and then just separate (no real divorce)? It seems like a bad idea, to be truthful, but I could be an option. Or not? Then I could send the paper signed for him when it's time to remove my conditions. I don't know... I am just trying to stay positive!

No you can't do that. If you file for ROC and you both singed on it, and then you got called for an interview and only you will show up, they will deny you right away and you will be put on removal proceedings. Your best way is to collect as much evidence as you can before the divorce happens.

if there's to be an interview for the Removal of Conditions case,

its BOTH of you that show up,

unless the divorced box was ticked on the form.

Bear that in mind, aye?

Have you thought of going home, sounds like you do not have much of a life here.
