Thank you for your support, i'm depressed over this situation, thank you for your help.

I understand and empathize completely. Even if all things are possible in time - it's the in time part that gets me down too. We (as a community) shouldn't need to have 2 separate ceremonies, or face the equally unappealing choice of skipping the traditional wedding altogether. You're right to be frustrated at the hurdles.

Sometimes I just need to hear people say "yeah, it sucks and it isn't fair," rather than what I usually get which is more of the chin-up, you'll just have to wait longer (as if it's no big deal), or "but at least you'll be together" patronizing nature. I know they mean well - but c'mon: in our culture (American/Western/Christian/Catholic/whatever-you-are-that-probably-celebrates-wedding-rites) marriage is a huge rite of passage and an important cultural event that is expected to be celebrated in particular way. It's okay if YOU make the choice to deviate from tradition, but when the government sets up 1000 obstacles to tradition (all while expecting you to prove through traditional methods a bona fide relationship) it's frustrating and insulting!

So I want you to know you aren't alone in your frustration or your depression over how complicated it is to do the right thing by your cultural and familial standards. I'm with you in depression - and so are a lot of other people here.

Thank you for your support, i'm depressed over this situation, thank you for your help.

My fiance arrive Feb 10, We were married the next week. We took the signed marriage license to the court house ourselves the next day and received the certified copy while we waited. If you have the other paperwork prepared for AOS (birth certificates, translations, copies of the visa, I-94, civil surgeon medical supplement etc) and the money, you can send in AOS paperwork with a application for Advance Parole within days of arrival.

The AP will take approximately 90 days from receipt date of the package at USCIS. You do run the risk of making all teh plans for November and buying tickets in advance and the AP takes longer than 90 days.
