I filed my wife's aos paperwork a month or so ago and sent in the affidavit of support I had used for her I-129F and got a letter saying I need to send in the I864 so I guess what I sent in wasnt good enough. Anyway, I'm filling out the part about the tax information and under Part 6 18a it says I need to attach a copy or transcript of my federal tax returns for the recent year. Will they only accept the transcript? Or when they say Photocopy of my return are they referring to my 1040EZ or something? The transcript is gonna be a pain in the ### seeing as I just moved and I'll have to figure out how to get it from my previous address since I'm sure that is my address on record.

Also I filed a work authourization for my wife as well, while they are waiting for me to send this does that request get put on hold as well?

Thanks

The I-864 (affidavit of support) required to accompany the AOS package is not the same as form I-134 affidavit of support form used when filing the I-129F. Not sure if a copy of the documents filed will be acceptable as your copy bears no proof that you did file. My experience is that an RFE in this case will cause some delay to the entire package. Try to expedite and good luck.

hi

the i134 is only for the K1 visa. for adjustment of status it is the i864

it can be tax returns or tax transcripts, the tax transcripts are more complete, but they will accept tax returns as well

the process will be delayed until they receive what they have requested

Is the tax return considered the 1080ez or something else?

That depends...did you file a 1040ez? The copy of the tax return is a copy of the form you used to file taxes.

If you are going to send your Tax Return, you should send it in along with W-2s, 1099's and all schedules (attachments).

Good luck.
