ASOing, which way is easier to bring parents here to visit?

Hi All,

Thanks for your time on reading this. I am currently on F1 OPT, work full-time now. I'm also adjusting my status. I would like my parents to come to visit periodically in the future. Since China now has the 10-year tourist VISA with U.S., it would be very convenient for them once they get it. My question is, is it easier for them to apply for a Tourist VISA while I'm on my F1 VISA or should I ask them to do it after I get green card?

it doesn't matter, they have to disclose that you are here, that the have family here. you can't bring them, they must show strong ties to their country and convince the officer that they will return

My Mom has come here before when I graduated from my college through a tourist VISA. It was quite easy for her to obtain the VISA at that time. My concern is, if I become a LPR, would it become more suspicious on her non-immigration tentions.

Each visitor visa applicant is presumed to have immigration intent, and must prove that they are not trying to immigrate to the US.
