Hi VJ Friends,

We are so over-whelmed with joy that we finally got our interview date!! We were not expecting it to be so fast!!!

It's April 6

Now, I have a few questions regarding the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC pre-interview process.

1) Is it true that NVC or the Embassy here gives us the appointment for the medical clearance? Or do we make it ourselves (orden de llegada)?

2) Do we have to wait for the letter to arrive at home or can we just print the letter they sent us through email for the medical clearance?

3) Are we suppose to do fingerprints? Before or After medical? Can we do both same day?

4) Am I suppose to take all of the Affidavit of Support documents we submitted to NVC? Tax transcripts??!

Also, any tips, advice, recommendations for our interview here in the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, we will greatly appreciate it!

Thanks in advance to all for your answers ?

HI, i CAN TRY AND ANSWER SOME OF YOUR QUESTION AS PER WHAT IVE SEEN AND READ BEFORE. BUT SOMEONE WITH MORE EXPERTISE SHOULD BE BALE TO JUMP IN.

Hi VJ Friends,

1) Is it true that NVC or the Embassy here gives us the appointment for the medical clearance? Or do we make it ourselves (orden de llegada)?

I believe that for RD you must schedule your own medical at least 14 days prior to your interview in order to ensure that results are ready by the date.

2) Do we have to wait for the letter to arrive at home or can we just print the letter they sent us through email for the medical clearance?

I don’t believe they are sending medical appointments via snail mail anymore.. I might be wrong- if im wrong, im sure as heck that people do not wait for Dominican mail service .

3) Are we suppose to do fingerprints? Before or After medical? Can we do both same day?

Usually, people schedule VAC appointment and medical the same day just to save time and hassle Medical in the morning and VAC in the afternoon.

4) Am I suppose to take all of the Affidavit of Support documents we submitted to NVC? Tax transcripts??!

Word of advice – TAKE EVERYTHING YOU’VE EVER SENT TO ANY US OFFICIAL OFFICE TO YOUR INTERVIEW. AND any additional documentation that might be new.

updated documents accordingly.

Also, any tips, advice, recommendations for our interview here in the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, we will greatly appreciate it!

Lastly, please visit the santo domingo embassy website. They have thorough instructions on what to do after interview has been scheduled. Also, medical appointment information and other very useful stuff for you. Below is the link . explore this page thoroughly.

No appointment needed for medicals. Its orden de llegada from 6am-11am I would recommend you go to Consulatarios de Visa since the new on has had some issues with some applicants. http://www.consultoriosdevisa.com thats the website and they give clear instructions on what you need to take. Basically His passport, Interview confirmation letter that was emailed to you and $300 take the cedilla in case and he will need to know the address of where he will live in the US.
As for the VAC appointment (Fingerprints) I don't know if they schedule for you or you do it since I expedited I chose my own date. However for the VAC he needs a copy of the DS260 cont page, his passport, and Interview letter.
**By the way, you may want to read the Interview Email completely since it will tell you what to bring and if VAC appt set etc. **

2) Do we have to wait for the letter to arrive at home or can we just print the letter they sent us through email for the medical clearance?
The one emailed is fine, if you wait until he gets it in the mail is interview will pass lol You will need 3 copies one for Medicals, one for VAC, and one for Cita day

3) Are we suppose to do fingerprints? Before or After medical? Can we do both same day?
My husband was able to do it the same day, he got to the medicals at 6 was out by 11am and his VAC appt was at 1:30pm

4) Am I suppose to take all of the Affidavit of Support documents we submitted to NVC? Tax transcripts??!
No because they completed your case, but I would take ALL ORIGINALS of EVERYTHING just in case

Also, any tips, advice, recommendations for our interview here in the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, we will greatly appreciate it!
I can't answer this until after out Cita next week

Thanks in advance to all for your answers ?
