Hello VJ folks,

Hope this is the correct Forum. My Wife's Green Card expires in September of this year. We will be applying for her 10 Year card shortly. Her Philippines Passport is up to date and has 2.5 more years on it. My concern is that we might not get the new Green Card prior to taking our vacation this year. All Travel will be within the US but will be prior to the expiration of the current Green Card.

Anyone know if this is a problem? I know if I am travelling Abroad I must have at least 6 months on my passport not sure if same applies to my Wife's Green Card and Domestic travel.

No there are no such rules for a green card.

My sons AOS and IV bill paid March 23rd (status in progress)
My sons AOS and IV bill shows as paid March 26
My IV bill paid March 26
Both packages sent on March 26
My IV bill shows as paid on March 27th
CC on both cases March 30

Current record holder of fastest through the NVC :D

Medical exam in Stockholm April 13th
Interview on May 16th !!!
POE Anchorage July 12th!! 2012

July 2015 n-400 in the mail

September 2015, interview

When traveling within the U.S. I didn't present my green card. I only presented my drivers license.

USCIS - 40 DAYS
2012-10-30: FedEx delivered I-130 to Chicago Lockbox Mail Room
2012-11-01: NOA1 by email - MSC
2012-11-02: $420 (x3) debited from our account
2012-11-05: NOA1 hard copies received, Priority Date 2012-10-30
2012-12-11: NOA2

NVC - 26 DAYS
2013-01-02: Rec'd case#, IIN, BIN & OPTIN emails for EP sent
2013-01-03: Submitted DS-261 (x3)
2013-01-07: AOS bills invoiced and paid & OPTIN for EP accepted for each of us
2013-01-08: AOS bills appear as paid & AOS packages sent by email
2013-01-08: IV bill invoiced & paid (kids' only)
2013-01-09: IV bill appears as paid (kids' only)
2013-01-09: IV Package emailed & DS-260 submitted online (kids only)

You can use a drivers license/state ID when traveling domestically.

Domestically, you should have no issues, but it is always a good idea to travel with your GC and any other documentation from USCIS (I797 if in transition period, marriage certificate, etc.) just in case USCIS officers are hanging out at airport security.
