Like things can't be more slower, that we hit another bump the RFE and now a new problem... My apartment lease gets over in the next couple of weeks and if that wasn't bad enough my housing community decided to hike the rent...So now we would have to find a new place. Has anyone tried changing their address, how full proof is it. Does it change in the system quick enough. I have had one bad experience with USCIS where they sent my EAD during my F1 student visa to my old address putting me behind by 12 months. What should be a full proof way to get through this, nothing is really full proof with them but yeah..

How do I get through to a Level 2/ISO on the phone? The guy I spoke to today said that there was no-one available by phone who could tell me more than the online case status, which is obviously wrong given what I've seen here.

Others can correct me if wrong... but I am under the impression you need to be at 75 days from first submission arriving in Chicago - or 30 days following approval - to easily get thru to a tier 2. You submitted an expedite request a few days ago... Not sure what else you can do except wait. Or get demanding. Unless they gave you more info when you submitted your request?

How do I get through to a Level 2/ISO on the phone? The guy I spoke to today said that there was no-one available by phone who could tell me more than the online case status, which is obviously wrong given what I've seen here.

I posted a while ago, I had the exact same thing as you had. She told me that a tier 2 couldn't provide me with any more information (she told me I had to wait 6 months before hearing anything about AOS)

So I insisted to speak with a tier 2 officer (so they HAVE TO put you through to them, if she keeps saying, keep insisting you have the right to speak to a tier 2 officer)

And guess what, the tier 2 officer told me I was approved... so it went down from "wait 6 months" to "approved". The tier 2 officers can mostlikely tell you more, locate your files and tell you what's up. (maybe your online status is up to date and they cannot add anything new, offcourse this is possible)

Yessssssssss!!!! Today is 88 days since we filed. I was pretty sure when we applied that the EAD would arrive by the end of May or first week of June... but that was the worst case scenario. Really odd how long it took to actually make and mail the card after approval. Seems like there was definitely a problem with the late April batch.

I just want to hold the thing in my hand now.

Oh... And then I guess it's time to go to work My near 6 month 'holiday' is just about over.

Woahhhh..... !!! just saw that your K1 took a year. Not THAT must have been quite a challenge!!!

Hi guys,

A question to people who got their green cards approved without an interview. Did you include extra evidence (leases, joint accounts, joint insurance, phone plan etc) with your I-485 application? Do you need extra evidence to be approved without an interview for K1 aos? Thanks

I didnt send any evindence at all and got approved within 2 months at the NBC

I did, but only because I was led to believe that I should when in fact the instructions don't say anything about including evidences

Woahhhh..... !!! just saw that your K1 took a year. Not THAT must have been quite a challenge!!!

Mannn that was HELL being in the Texas backlog... at first they said June, perfect i could move right after graduation... then it became august... at least i could get a summer season job >< and then it got December till i had interview.... so im already without work at home since oktober >< it really was hell (cr1 woulda been just as fast until we would be together n i would have my greencard straight away.... so it was very dissapointing)

But all the negative also has a positive side, i had more months to prepare and safe up more money! We just made the best of it...

Ow yea and the worst about it was having tickets to the marines ball and a room in november... luckily i could get in while my visa was pending (marines ball was a pretty legit reason to come over for a week) but yea, wasted money on a roundtrip there ><

haha I am not sure if you have followed my previous posts here... but my patience really has ended... big time...

Especially since people approved after me already have the card, and mine aint even produced yet... it is getting on my nerves so big now... I don't even know how patient I can be or how soon I can be at lee's summit to get my card produced....

I am really starting to lose it haha... mostly because being approved got me so excited and happy, messaged my recruiter, knew that I would have it in no time and that I could join... and then WHAMM week later, card still not produced because there are problems producing the cards... So now I'm scared to go through the same as end may.. and I won't get it for another month, while not getting my EAD/AP either, so sitting home another month... you know

That's great! I didn't include any extra evidence. I 'm glad I still have a chance of approval without interview. Right now I'm still waiting on my EAD to be approved.

Hey! I just wanted to update really quickly - this morning my husband and I checked our status as we do every day and FINALLY it changed! My AP and EAD have both been approved and my EAD was produced on the 27th of May! I AM SO EXCITED AND CANNOT WAIT TO START WORKING

As me, still waiting for my greencard, 2 weeks now since I got approved... People that got approval after me have their greencard, and here I am... still sitting at home, won't get the EAD no more, if only they would hurry up with my card!!! Then I can finally start applying for a job! (eventho I have like 90% chance I already have one waiting for me haha, connections yey! Talking of which JudithF, doesn't your husband have any connections to hook you up with a job?)

I could go back to working at the company where I met my husband but there is no way I am rejoining them. They treat their employees horribly and the pay sucks compared to the amount of work they have to do. My husband is currently trying to get out of there too so fingers crossed....
