AOS March 2016 Filers

Well... I'm pretty sure my mail man is going to file for an order of protection soon. He looks at me like I am bat crazy as I run towards the mailbox ever day before he gets a chance to pull away. But still no card. Or even update that it has been produced. Nice to know husband is approved to work for a month now. But cant because someone is using our combo card as a bookmark. Or possibly to even out their wobbly keyboard. I did call my congressman today. Hopefully he can help.

EAD update today: status changed to being produced. AP no change though.

we have a mirror like timeline, same biometrics, almost same days we got notices, slight difference in production of EAD, yours is Apr 28, ours is April 30.. and YES same like you, still waiting for the card.

We're starting to think that the last week of April production batch had been (cursed) messed up, cards had been made but there were errors and they just put them all aside and went ahead and produced the May cards

So opinion question.....

At what point is it alright for us to start calling USCIS to try and get information out of them on the I-485?

We got the EAD/AP approval on day 46, and it arrived in the mail on day 53...now we are on day 81 and we have gotten no word on the I-485, case status still reads Fingerprint fee received. I just wonder if it is too early to start harassing USCIS just yet. What do you think?

I'm on day 63 and I still haven't heard about my EAD or AP. However, the status for my I-485 did change to "ready to be scheduled for interview." So it looks like the timing is totally random!

It has to be random. I have already found 2 people who filed their AOS packets after us, have the same local field office, but have already gotten their interview date. Its driving me nuts!

Just do it I called a week ago, insisted on a tier 2... he didnt seem bothered at all that i called (i said that i have plans that need a gc estimate date and just wanna know where its at, stuck at nbc, chance of rfe, waiver or not etc and that i have experience that my status doesnt update online or not in time)

If anything he even told me that if the website doesnt update in a week from now (tomorrow) than i should call them again (tier2) and ask if they can provide a tracking number...

Considering he even told me to call within a week for a tracking number im sure they dont mind you calling

I know I'm being unreasonable. But it seriously does piss me off that things are not done in receipt order. The damn thing was approved!!! Print it and mail it already. Hell. I'll pick it up. Email it and I will print it. It's as if USCIS has not entered the day of the Internet. Or even computer. I picture old ladies typing out cards on Commodore 64 and stamping them out in prisons over there the way the processing times are.

I know the feels, not waiting for my ead anymore since my greencard got approved...

But the full process has been very frustrating (k1+aos) simply because everything is completely random and out of your control... theres nothing you can do at all and calling cs is also frustrating since people just tell you what you already know and you honestly have to be plain rude to get a tier 2 that can tell u whats up lol

But thats honestly what vj is so good for... not being into this all by ourselves, we have eachother (tho it can be also frustrating to see people get things before you and youre just like...why?! How???)

But yea we arent alone and people understand you and know whats up

Ok... I admit it... it was my EAD card that jammed the machine and wiped out the last week of April.

Yes, this is so true, on both fronts! This forum makes you realize you're not alone, and everyone is cheering for you. But then you see others get things before you, and you get so petty!! haha "why not me?!?!?!" it's like elementary school all over again. *sigh*

Just an update! My status changed yesterday 05/24 to 'card mailed to me'. I will let you know when it arrives in the mail . Still no change on the i-485, wondering if I can call and just try and get an idea of where it's at or just wait?

Did all of you who got their EAD approved weeks ago but still not received the card have your status change to 'card mailed'? or did it just stay on card approved/card being produced? Just out of interest.
