same here, hubby got letter of AP approval on May 6 which was dated May2, then on May 11 he received email/texts that his EAD card was being produced dated April 30.

We have not received his card yet, hopefully this afternoon.

Did you call uscis to get a tracking number. That's what I did with mine.

3/8/16 Sent application to uscis

3/11/16 USCIS received applications

3/15/16 USCIS sent receipts

3/19/16 Got receipts in the mail

4/2/16 Got my bio appointment notice

4/11/16 Biometric appointment

8/19/16 interview has been scheduled

Hi. NOA 2 refers to the 2nd "Notice of Action". There really isn't one in the AOS as there is in during the K1 or CR1. Because after your 1st notification of action, you will either get approved with corresponding cards and docs or just plain denied

Thanks for that, I will just sit tight and wait for news on when they schedule my interview Edited by gpiper

uggh, i just called and i even got a worse news haha the rep told me that the agency producing the EAD card ( or wherever it was sent to ) told them about 3 weeks ago that instead of 30 days it probably will take 60 days to produce the card (bummer!).

The rep told me that what she can tell me right now is that it is only in line for production.

Still hoping for a suprise in the mailbox when we get home :)

Didn't someone already mention here on VJ that there has been an issue with the printer producing the cards a few weeks back and hence the delays... Seems a bit over the top to suggest a wait time of 2 months. Giving themselves a wide contingency there if you ask me. I'm sure it will end up being sooner.

Big govt agencies like this and they don't have a back up plan? Only one printer? Haha

I don't think there is issue on the printer because a friend of mine got his Ead card on the mail yesterday.I just believe they sent it out through snail mail and that's the reason is taking forever.

or maybe thru Pony express hahah :)

But to be fair with USCIS Customer Service, I did not have to wait long to speak to a rep, in about a minute, I was able to speak to one and she was very cordial.

I called the USCIS today, didn't get further than the tier 1...

He just confirmed that the card wasn't produced nor sent yet. I don't think they can see more than we can tbh.

Guys the cards seem to mail out in batches, not individually, they wait until so many need to be sent and do it. That seems to be why we see a bunch getting stuff in the mail on the same 2/3 days then nothing else for a bit, and again a 2/3 day spree of stuff.

Annoying but hey, what can we do.

Happy for everyone that got updates and approvals! :dancing:

Jealous of everyone that got updates and approvals! :crying:

And I am actually really nervous since our AOS isn't a standard case. I was hoping that since we have been married for almost 4 years, it would be approved quick. But I guess going from DACA to GC is not going to be easy.

everything through AOS takes time and you dont get an automatic GC, unless you came from K1! everyone has to do an interview unless you AOS through a K!. i waited 3 years with my husband to apply for AOS and it still took the standard time.. it is more based on where you are and how quick they are processing! but yeah, you will have an interview but everything will be fine! and its better because he is already in the country and working because i personally think it is very hard to bring someone to america and apply for a GC and then have that person get a job ect.. i think that is much tougher then being an overstay and waiting a bit longer to get a GC because generally, an overstay has been in america for a while and knows the culture and job market ect.. it is much easier then bringing someone here and getting them assimilated into the american culture and job market.
