I have completely written off the case tracker and USCIS website. Instead I just stalk the mailbox now. I got EAD/AP approval 4/28 and no card yet. So frustrating. I am sorry for those of you who haven't heard anything at all. But after waiting so long and getting that letter I got so excited and thought that meant card was coming! Guess it really meant just sit and wait. Maybe we will print it and mail it someday...

ye right... like, in the coming 60 days, because you know, work is overrated. You just got married and try to start a life together, but then again, work is not needed at all. Just sit at home, and wait, just keep waiting, that's your life the first coming months.

I got super excited too about the approval, but I don't understand it. When you are approved to work, can't you just work. It's stupid you have to wait for the card. You are approved to work, but you are not allowed to yet.

It is just plain frustrating, seeing my husband work his ### off and not being able to do a thing. I keep hoping to be lucky and receive the card sooner rather than later.

If only the online tracker would update to "card being produced" or something, so you know where your case is at.

Or if only we knew where our AOS is at, and at what state of the process, what they are doing.

She's not quite at the point of needing to be hospitalised although I think we are all going out of our minds!

You are right though we do need a good dose of patience! No indication of whether they received my RFE and are working on it now. I have a feeling it could be some time before I hear anything from there.

So just for my information and understanding, when you are ready to be scheduled for interview do they send you another letter or do they just update online? I know we will all receive an appointment letter if applicable to us but not sure you get anything to show your application is ready for interview.

Anyone know?

Hey guys, I need help please!

Like I have mentioned before, I filed I-130 for my parents who also filed I-485 and I-765. My dad's EAD had been approved already, but mom's hasn't. Both are "Ready to be scheduled for an interview" but I also know that the Newark local office is very backlogged, so I'm almost sure they won't be getting an interview appointment anytime soon. Problem is that they were offered two tickets to Portugal to go visit my grandparents and they did not submit I-131( advanced parolee).

Can we submit it now that everything has been sent already?

If yes, will they have to do fingerprints again?

Also, what should I mention on the explanation on I-131 form? The only "emergency" is that they might lose those tickets and also the fact that my grandparents are getting very old. Will that work?

Thanks in advance!! ;)

My AOS:

Jul. 17, 2012: Sent package

Aug. 28, 2012: Did Biometrics

Oct. 03, 2012: Received interview appt. for Nov. 7, 2012

Oct. 04, 2012: EAD in production notification received!!

Oct. 13, 2012: Received EAD in the mail!

Nov. 07, 2012: Interview day!! Was approved on the spot!!! 5 minutes! :)

Nov. 17, 2012: Received Green Card!!!! :D

My ROC:

08/25/14: Sent package

09/12/14: Did biometrics

05/20/15: Interview notice for 06/23/15

06/23/15: Interview approved

07/01/15: Received 10 yr green card

My N-400:

08/07/15: Sent package

09/08/15: Biometrics taken

11/03/14: Interview scheduled for 12/10/15

Hi there, I'm not very familiar with the non K1 procedure, so apologies if I'm not giving you the right answers - I'm sure somebody will be kind enough to correct me if I got something wrong. As far as I know, you can send in the AP application later on as well, with reference to the pending AoS, and you don't need to give a lot of detail about the purpose (look at the example forms on this site for more info). The AP should go through within 3 months. Also, they don't take fingerprints for AP, only for EAD and AoS.
