sorry to hear about this. Hopefully she will come around before the interview date. In the mean time do some research on your situation. See if there were any successful stories where a spouse refused to accompany the other to the interview. I wish you all the best.

I had my biometrics appointment last Tuesday but before today I was not able to track my I-765 EAD application online. When I checked today I was finally able to track it and got this message:

On March 1, 2016, we received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number MSCXXX, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by March 31, 2016, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Is this EAD case status normal for someone who has already had their biometrics done? I just want to know if things are now starting to progressing normally for me.

Husband had a successful early walk-in for his biometrics in Holtsville, NY today. I was pleasantly surprised that it was all so easy. There was literally not one single person in the waiting room. We were in and out in ten minutes. They asked for a reason and I said that I had to take off work today for his doctors appointment and was hoping not to miss two days of work.

Hubby had his biometrics done this morning, he was scheduled for 10am but walked in 8:15am. The room was packed in Buena Park but he was given the forms right away. He did finish the process in an hour.

Now the wait, hopefully no RFEs.

This is their generic response...It really means wait, I have applied for 3 EAD cards( twice on my F1 students visa and the third time for AOS) till now and their response is the same...It is usually 90 days after this that you get your EAD card in mail...Again my experiences are based on the EAD card applications made during my students Visa... The one we apply with our AOS should be more faster....

Biometrics appointment received this morning, April 21st for my son, April 22nd for me. Hopefully they'll do both on the 21st! Kinda silly for them to schedule two different days, petitioned together. Ah well.
