Re: weight, I think you can just ballpark the number. I doubt it has to be 100% accurate

hahaha yes that is my problem too, I do not want to know my weight! and now sadly I have to... I need to go to the gym more often and I know that, but it's so hard when you aren't living the normal life (work, friends, familie etc).

And I really hope that we will know soon what we are waiting for, an interview, a quick greencard. I hate to be in the dark for real... right now you can get your greencard within a month up to over a year... It would be so much better if USCIS could give people an estimate expecation!

I have my biometrics in about a week, but first this sunday we will be visiting the bridal expo I am so excited! We have been married on paper but we have a long way of saving up money for that dreamwedding I want! haha so my greencard cannot come fast enough for me!

Just had my biometrics appointment today.

It was pretty simple, as described here. I filled out a form with name, DOB, phone#, country of birth, country of citizenship, race, height (ft and in), weight (pounds), eye color, hair color, USCIS A#, Application Numbers, other names used.

It was not allowed cell phones, recording devices, foods, nor drinks.

As far as documents, they needed the appointment letter, my passport and marriage certificate as proof of name change.

If you changed your name, do not forget to take a certified copy of marriage certificate with you.

You'll either get notification of an interview, and/or notification that your EAD combo card is in the mail, OR if you are lucky your interview will be waived and you'll get notification that your GC is in the mail.

I was snooping around on the February AOS filers and there's a handful of folks that had their interviews waived and are now waiting for their GC in the mail (talk about a quick process, eh?)! The rest of the folks have been getting notifications of the scheduled interview within a month or so

Just got my biometrics letter in the mail, yay! Appointment is on 4/18. Here's my timeline so far, in case anyone filed around the same time:

3/21 AOS package received at Chicago lockbox

3/29 email/text NOAs

4/1 hard copy NOAs

4/8 biometrics appointment letter

Appointment was for 10 am and my husband walked in when they opened at 8 am and he was out in 15 minutes.

Now we begin the rest of the waiting game!

Thats great, i think you are one of those lucky people. Ypur process is going very fast. I got my text/email on 23rd march, haven't got my biometrics letter yet. Hopefully next week. Did ypu have any case status change online after getting biometrics?

I hope you get your letter soon!! I'm surprised by how fast it's going so far -- keeping my fingers crossed! There is no status change online; still shows "Fingerprint fee received on March 25."

certified mail says Vermont processing center received it on 3/30

hard copy of receipts received yesterday 4/7

Waiting on my biometrics letter now!!! So excited, it seems to be moving pretty quickly

How long after receiving receipts does it usually take for biometrics letter to come??

Mine took between two and three weeks to get in the mail. I suppose it could take more time than that...or if you are lucky it could be less time. Unfortunately there's no formula to tell when exactly it will show up in your mailbox

Got our biometrics letter today! Appointment is 4/21

Don't think we will bother with a walk in attempt, it's only about two weeks away and it's an hour and a half drive.
