Praise God! Got our biometrics appointment today! It was a rough week. Husband had a heart attack and needed heart surgery. Thankfully he was added onto my health insurance when we got married last month. But this definitely helped to lift his spirits!

  • Interview date 12/20/16 at Holtsville, NY... initially denied but approved later same day.
  • Text received that green card was mailed.

My husband had Biometrics on 3/23 .. now we're just patiently waiting for the next step :clock:

The total amount of days from the date I mailed in our K1 Visa application to the day my fiancé stepped foot into the USA:

1 year, 3 months and 8 days.

The amount of days from the date we mailed in our AOS to the date everything was approved (after 3 RFEs):

7 months & 5 days

Which makes our journey a total of:

2 years, 3 months, and 8 days

Makes me nervous seeing everyone getting their hard copies. Still waiting after receiving emails on the 21st. 9 business days now. Maybe we will get the bio date included. Trying to think positively. Any input?

my husband's is going on 11 days now, but then again we haven't checked the mail today so hopefully it's in the mailbox today when we get home..

January 23, 2013 - Priority DateJuly 2013 - Approved but ineligible to adjust

March 8, 2016-sent AOS packet ( I-485, I-131, I-765)

March 10 - lockbox received packet

March 17 - notifications received

March 21 - received hardcopies of NOAs

April 1 - received biometrics appointment

April 11 - Biometrics at Buena Park

May 6 - received hardcopy of I-131 approval dated May 2

May 11 - received texts/email - AP Approved, EAD card is being produced (ordered card production April 30)

May 27 - called USCIS tier 2 - service request to reproduce crooked card that was not sent

June 8 - received texts/email/update - EAD card being mailed

June 11 - received EAD/AP combo card

August 23 - Interview is scheduled for Sept. 28

Sept 28 - AOS approved

Got the letter fpr bio today :) have the appointment april 13th, a month after sending the package. not trying an early walkin since its a bit of a ride... :)

Met around 2011/2012 in a game (league of legends) super random, best friends ever since... grew closer as friends and desided in 2013 to try dating, flew over and we had a click =)

So fast :) Got my hard copies on the 24th and still waiting for biometrics letter....

I know right. I guess I'm lucky. You should be hearing back soon for the bio.

My Journey

Day 00, March 14, 2016: Filed concurrently I-130, I-485, I-765, and I-131 with supporting documents and appropriate fees.

Day 01, March 15, 2016: Application package received and signed for by some R. Mercado.

Day 07, March 22, 2016: Four NOA1 emails and text messages came in 12:25 AM.

Day 07, March 22, 2016: All three checks cashed.

Day 12, March 27, 2016: Hard copy NOA1s came in the mail.

Day 16, March 31, 2016: Got biometric fingerprinting notice in the mail, scheduled for April 12 at Nashville USCIS ASC.

Day 21, April 05, 2016: Filed a request with USCIS to expedite work authorization.

Day 22, April 06, 2016: Got a letter in the mail that my work authorization is in suspension because I've not done biometric.

Day 28, April 12, 2016: Did biometric at local ASC. Process took roughly ten minutes.

Day 30, April 14, 2016: Reinstated work authorization expedition.

Day 37, April 21, 2016: Got approved for EAD and Advanced Parole.

Day 41, April 25, 2016: Combo EAD and AP Card in hand.

Day 135, July 27, 2016: Interview Notice (Online Update) :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

Day 166, August 26, 2016: Interview Day :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

Day 166, August 26, 2016: I-485 Approved.

When did you get your hard copy NOAs? Just curious!

2016 AOS from F1
3/21: package received by USCIS

3/29: email/text NOAs

4/1: hard copy NOAs

4/8: bio appointment letter

4/18: biometrics completed

5/11: status update, "ready to be scheduled for interview"

6/3: submitted service request for EAD
6/18: submitted online change of address (AR-11)

6/20: service request response, "your case is currently under review"

6/21: interview scheduled for July 26 (online update)

6/23: hard copy interview notice

6/24: EAD/AP approved, "new card ordered"
6/28: EAD mailed to me
6/30: EAD/AP card delivered
7/26: interview APPROVED!
7/26: new card ordered

7/28: card mailed

8/1: permanent resident card received in mailbox! : )

Just received husband's Bio Appointment in mail. No NOA hard copies- just ASC Appointment Notice. Mailed from Tenn and has NBC as service center. Appointment for 4/12/16. So blessed.

September 26th 2009: Started Dating (L)

July 8th: NOA1


July 30th: NOA2


August 24th: NVC Received Packet


August 28th: NVC Case number and Invoice ID Number Received


September 10th: Case READY


September 21st: Received Chinese Police Certificate


September 22nd: Scheduled Medical


September 25th: Received English Police Certificate


October 1st: Submitted Readiness form


October 2nd: MEDICAL :dead:


October 2nd: CEAC status updated to "ready"


October 7th: Received Korean Police Certificate


October 8th: CEAC status updated to "ready" (received medical results)


October 13th: CEAC status updated


November 9th: Interview / APPROVED

wow, another fast bio appointment..i guess it all depends on the state one is applying from.. california service centers suck!! hahhaa, jk, just bitter because it's been 12 days now after receiving hard copies of NOAs and no bio letter yet...hopefully early next week :)

Finally got our notice 4 days ago that our package had been accepted - so about 6 days after delivery. Now we wait! What happens next?

NOA1 hard copies in about a week to ten days. Biometrics appointment letter will be after.

**Adjusting from initial Q1/changed to B1 then overstay, termination of removal proceedings**

(STAND ALONE i-130/TERMINATION OF REMOVAL)

First met: Totally random by asking for directions, June 2014 while on vacation at Disney World (L)

Engaged: Aug. 21, 2014

Married: Dec. 1, 2014

ICE phone contact: sometime in early Dec. 2014- Co-operated, retained attorney who advised the same.

Filed stand alone i-130: January 2015 (VSC)

ICE home visit, schedule time to go to DHS office and NTA issued, date TBD, was not detained and released on own recognizance within an hour: January, 2015.

NOA1: Feb. 20, 2015.

Transfer to CSC to balance workloads: August 2015

1)First Master Calendar Hearing: Sept. 9, 2015-Continued based on pending i-130, new court date in 6mo.

Congressional Inquiry: Dec 8. 2015

***i-130 APPROVED WITHOUT INTERVIEW: Dec. 21, 2015** :dancing:

2)Second Master Hearing: March 9, 2016- Removal proceedings terminated w/o prejudice based on approved i-130!! Remanded to USCIS to begin AOS process :dance:

Filed AOS packet: March 16, 2016.

NOA1: March 21, 2016.

Biometrics: April 20, 2016.

RFE Initial evidence: April 21, 2016 for birth cert/translation and Q1/B1 i94s

RFE response received: May 10, 2016.

EAD approval: May 25, 2016- Card arrived at attorney's office! Could not pick up until May 30 because we were at Disney World again :):D

Notice of missing medical exam: July 2016 (Done on purpose to avoid expiration, we will bring it to the interview as stated in notice)

Inquiry about case status: Sept 2016- Case pending interview at local office.

Inquiry about case status again: Oct. 2016- Due to factors not related to your case, anticipate a delay in processing

Infopass #1 at local office: Dec. 19, 2016- Case pending background/security checks, advised when to renew EAD #2
