Another miracle! Case update just came through stating his I-485 is approved ??? No interview.

Hey Guys,

I have two questions:

is it true if you don't hear anything from USCIS to schedule an interview for two years, then they issue the permanent green card?

Yep, if you pass your 2yr anniversary before the interview you get the 10yr card.

Infopass was today. Left quite upset....basically, my husband is still clearing background checks as per the NBC's word.....for 9.5mo, and it will take as long as it takes. FML.

First met: Totally random by asking for directions, June 2014 while on vacation at Disney World (L)

Engaged: Aug. 21, 2014

Married: Dec. 1, 2014

ICE phone contact: sometime in early Dec. 2014- Co-operated, retained attorney who advised the same.

Filed stand alone i-130: January 2015 (VSC)

ICE home visit, schedule time to go to DHS office and NTA issued, date TBD, was not detained and released on own recognizance within an hour: January, 2015.

NOA1: Feb. 20, 2015.

Transfer to CSC to balance workloads: August 2015

1)First Master Calendar Hearing: Sept. 9, 2015-Continued based on pending i-130, new court date in 6mo.

Congressional Inquiry: Dec 8. 2015

It honestly didnt help us at all, if I could reach someone tier 2 on the phone I would have gotten the same information. But it can't hurt if you been waiting a long time.

Our infopass said we are pending background check completion....and it takes how ever long it takes.....my husband is from a MENA country so who the hell knows at this point how much longer it will be. I'm just saying thank goodness for free EAD renewals at this point.

Understandable but very unreasonable amount of uncertainty and wait. It is quite frustrating.Where is your field office again, sparkles? I have been following your threads along with another NYC filer whom apparently filed one day before us, I just realized,and has not received their interview notice as of yet.

Charlotte, NC. Which already has a reputation for taking their sweet time on things, apparently. Only plus is every single person at the office there appears to be beyond nice and polite.

It would be beyond interesting to see if all of us are magically approved within the same small timeframe.....that would lead me to think it wasn't fully checks, but someone also sitting on our files at the NBC....
