Still on "Case was received" for I-130 and "Fingerprint fee was received" for I-485.

It seems that the normal processing time for I-130 has been 5 months - which is past due. Any ideas on what I can do or how to reach out to them?

Denver office is still processing AOS from October 2015 so not much hope there yet.

Update:

Our interview was today, approved on the spot!

Office: Santa Ana, CA

appointment was at noon. we arrived at 11.30 - they finally called us about 12.45

interview was about 1 hour long

mostly i-485 questions

no weird-"what brand of shampoo does she use"-questions, everything straight forward

We are traveling this weekend so i asked for the passport stamp once the officer said we were approved

Showed proof of travel arrangement and purpose and got a referral letter to take to the info pass office for same day appointment to get the stamp

waited to be called for another 20 mins, dropped documents, waited 20 mins, got stamp

Entire process took us like 4 hours and we were starving!

Went to celebratory Venezuelan lunch right after.

Good luck to everyone!

I posted in another forum but no one has replied haha so will ask in here. I got an RFE for i693( I didn't send it with my AOS as I thought I didn't need to if I had my medical completed for k1) my medical was done in the U.K. And was completely filled out October 2015 I flew to the us in march 2016 and got married then filed the AOS on 12th march 2016. I got my medical vaccines transcribed by a CS in America and I am sending the sealed envelope and letter soon however the address it tells me to send to is ISO S.Lee have they missed the rest of the address or should I just send to the address written in the top right corner of the letter ( Newark field office) I know my application is in Newark as my congressman told me >.<

Hello, guys

I need your opinion

I filed March 7th for AOS after coming with a K1 visa

My status is still pending at "received fingerprint fee". it has been like that for 7 months!

I got my EAD and my AP on time. Normal processing times in my field office is usually 6 months to get an interview date.

About a month ago, I talked to tier 2 who submitted a service request on my behalf. After that, I got a letter saying that I still can get some news within 120 days..

I will probably get my GC without interview but the waiting is killing me.

My plan was to write an email to my congressman, hoping that their contact will speed up the process but I am not sure since they stated in the last letter that I still need to wait 4 months

What should I do?

Thanks in advance

I would contact the congressman and ask them to look into it worst case is they come back and tell you that you need to wait but usually they are good at telling you the current status mine told me about my first RFE weeks before I received the letter or notification >.<

Giuliana,

Look at this https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

San Antonio AOS is processing Jan 2016, you should get news in the next month or so. I'd only worry if they are processing April 2016 and you haven't heard anything.

I'm in Houston and they are processing Nov 2015 right now so I'm assuming I'll have to wait another 3 or 4 months to hear anything.

I also called USCIS, they filed a request and everything, but they'll just tell you that they are behind.

Take care

Thanks for your advice but I know that they are processing and giving interview dates to cases sent in May. That's why I'm worried.

Hi everybody

I really appreciate it if somebody share his/her experience with me.

We filed the documents on March 25th. We did biometrics, received EAD and travel document by mail but since May 27 we still see the following message in my online status:

"On May 27, 2016, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status. Our National Benefits Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

l don't know how long should we wait. Every time we call them they give us some different information. the last time we called and asked them to transfer us to tier 2 , she finally said we will consider your case in November , and after that we never called them back.

By the way, the center we are supposed to go for interview is in Atlanta. Anybody has any experience like this?

the other question is that we did not make a copy of the forms before sending to USCIS and now I see some people say that interview will based on the forms we filled out before. what should I do?

Thank you,

It looks like the uscis.gov website has been updated to reflect new processing times for service centers. They always seem to post updates about six weeks behind! For example, the update reflected on October 18 (real time) is from August 31, 2016. In the case of the St. Paul service center (our local office), application processing only moved by about 10 days! July 31, 2016 they were processing applications from December 2; as of August 31, they were processing cases from December 10. Arghh!!!!!

Is anyone else noticing a slowdown in local office processing?
